oh crap

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Then he's perfectly qualified for Town or County lob position. Forget about town assessor Sallie think County post ala Lumpy Kosiur.

I guess DVOR aka Ron Jeremy was just a little wrong about there not being a
contract for the current assessor.  If there was no contract, there would have
been no payout needed.  Love ya Ronnie Boy!  Come back to the blog!

Actually, I was the one who said that the previous administration had signed Surprise to a long term (6 year
contract) --- get your facts straight.

Actually at a Town Board meeting, the attorney indicated it was "an appointment", "not a contract"!

Thank you Avon! I thought I heard the same thing.  Ronnie eats way too many of those mothballs, they
are effecting his brain matter, what little there is left.

You must have a mental problem ... since you seemed fixated on mothballs.

My understanding is that the appointment involved a contract.    There had to at least be an understanding of
a contractual relationship --- appointment for a term of years --- otherwise there would be no need to
compensate Mr. Surprise for ending the appointment before the term of years had ended.

Also -- for your information -- a contractual relationship can exist without a written document -- it can exist by
verbal agreement or, in this case, by virtue of the legal understanding that an Assessor is appointed by the
Town Board for a specific number of years (6).

An earlier post on another thread indicated that before Steve left the board the previous admin gave Surprise three weeks vacation as a "golden" parachute.  Add in unused vacation......

Hey, argue with the Town Attorney, I'm only posting what I saw on a replay of one of the Town Board Meetings on TV.  Does this even matter?  It's a done deal . . .

Yeah man cause you friggin stink!
Wash your clothes and yourself before you come to town hall meetings.
If you would like I can call FDG and have him send you some laundry detergent and soap.
Since he donates his salary back to the town, he may, just may be willing to donate to you soap.
