It is refreshing to see a dem, a con, and a rep work together.

What is repulsive and not refreshing is........................................YOU!!!!!  Cut throat, backstabbing politics that the voters of Rotterdam wish Ms DiLeva take with her back to the Broadway Hill worm joint where she crafted her art of political suicide!!!!!!! It's a well known fact that she took out the City GOP as its Majority Leader on the County Leg.  DUMP her now Dems!!!  The county Dems tried to tell you!!!!

I'm a registered blank so I have no horse in this race!
However, it is refreshing to not see 'party loyalty' override common sense. IMHO of course!

Quoted from AVON

So during this meeting, FDG called ND a liar, and to shut up.  When resident and TB candidate FS complained about this treatment of ND, He was told That's a great show, you oughta take it on the road, you'd make a lot of money!  So FDG complains that the assessor is disrespectful, but reams a sitting TB memeber publicly, and a private resident who admonished this behavior.  Do as I say, not as I do!

I think he said "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"

How is a 3.5% tax increase "lowering taxes?"

"The residential property tax increase dropped from approximately 7.4 percent to 3.5 percent and the commercial property tax increase was reduced form approximately 11.4 percent to 7.4 percent. The amendments reduced spending by another $191,000 and no employees would be eliminated form their position in the proposed changes."

Because they always give you a lower increase than it was expected to be originally, so the impact is less, so you can be thankful to those that spin the truth to show a "reduction" in the increase.

Admittedly that is usually the case...but not this time. The amendments made to the adopted budget were in fact due to the efforts
of the three Board Members who revised that budget in an attempt to not only reduce the projected tax increase, but to salvage
jobs held by individuals who were targets of political aggression. Don't get me wrong...I'm all for reducing the size of government work
forces wherever and whenever possible...but these were not positions that could be spared and I believe that the aggressors would
have found a way to replace those employees with others of their choosing...maybe under different titles.

FDG and Godlewski were set on their proposed budget and committed to passing it...the initially projected tax increases would have
in fact gone into effect if not for the majority's amended version...motivated, for once, by a genuine desire to spare taxpayers to
the greatest extent possible.

Purcell is the Spotlight reporter.

The spotlight is always a week behind. I wish they weren't cause they give a much more in depth story than that 'other one'!

I miss the previous Spotlight reporter .. Sean Ahern .. he did a good job covering town news.  I hope he is
doing well in graduate school.

John is doing a great job at the Spotlight and he is very personable.  John broke the story about the A.S. /G.A. tapes.  He attends all the meetings and covers other towns as well.  The Spotlight goes to print on Wednesday, before the TB meetings, therefore the stories might not get printed in the same week.  But he does post current stories on the Spotlight's website.

Sean did a good job, but Purcell is EXCELLENT! Some people wish spotlight was a 'daily' option like the daily rag. Maybe someday!

I wasn't commenting on the current reporter.  I was stating my opinion that I miss Sean Ahern and I hope that
he is doing well in graduate school.

As for "breaking" the AS/ GA tapes story,   all I will say is that the story was "old news" to me .. about 6
months ago.

Who was sitting in the front row with the long black hair? Kathleen Moore?
