The fact is that there are over 650 school districts in New York State ---  the cost of redundant district offices -- superintendents, business managers, support staff, etc  is astronomical.

If we went from the 650+ school districts to 1 district per county in New York State -- we could save at least
a HALF BILLION DOLLARS  state-wide.

It is an idea that is long overdue for implementation.

NO....the union would still be there....what do you really think will happen when national healthcare is implemented?....why Barney
only the next largest union to rival the teachers union......and 1/2 BILLION DOLLARS is 1 and 1/2 billion less than the revenue of E-readers.......who needs text books? not to mention where will the investment for the teachers retirements come from if there are no
textbook companies and the revenue is decreased???? government guaranteed retirements....hhhmmmm

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

If you agree with this idea, then tell me this, would you agree to send your children to Schenectady City Schools instead of Schalmont or Mohonasen?  Or do you not have kids and you just want them all thrown together to save money, or at least you THINK it will save money?
