Investigators Hunt for Mail Bombers in Yemen, Al Qaeda Suspected

After intercepting two mail bombs addressed to Chicago-area synagogues, investigators are searching for two dozen more suspect packages that terrorists in Yemen attempted to smuggle onto aircraft in a brazen Al Qaeda terror plot.

Authorities on three continents thwarted the attacks when they seized explosives on cargo planes in the United Arab Emirates and England on Friday. The plot sent tremors throughout the U.S., where after a frenzied day searching planes and parcel trucks for other explosives, officials temporarily banned all new cargo from Yemen.

Several U.S. officials said they were increasingly confident that Al Qaeda's Yemen branch, the group behind the failed Detroit airliner bombing last Christmas, was responsible.

President Barack Obama called the coordinated attacks a "credible terrorist threat."

A Yemeni security official said the investigation involved about 26 suspected packages. But, with the exception of a few, they're all peaceful people.  Uh huh.

The problem is, WHICH ONES? How do you identify them BEFORE something else happens?

And, equally important, why isn't the "good" part of the community, our every day neighbors, standing up in unison  to disavow these "few", en masse? Fine, a few clerics are being somewhat apologetic, but why aren't the few good ones TOTALLY pissed off and vocal to denounce these actions? I've yet to see that.  If they were sincere, they'd be turning in their "fellow" Muslim extremist neighbors, family and acquaintances to the law enforcement agencies.

This is a bigoted thread title.  YOU MUST OMIT THE MUSLIM LABEL!  After all, they might be Yemen...Atheist...or...Agnostics...or...Christians...or...Buddhist.  Ya just don't know.

Remember, according to liberals.  You can say all Tea Party protesters are WHITE.  But don't you dare say that all terrorists are MUSLIM.  You can only paint with broad strokes when disparaging Caucasian Christians.

God forbid-If a bomb went off in an office of a Jewish agency or synagogue  in Chicago this weekend here is what the initial reports would sound like:

"With the midterm elections occurring in 72 hours there is speculation tonight that white supremacists or Tea-Party backed groups may have had a hand in this as many are pointing out that this IS President Barack Obama's hometown and the site of a hotly contested Senate race for his former seat, which some are saying has taken on a racial hue because of strong Tea Party involvement. Although it is too early to determine who is behind this officials who spoke off the record indicate the strong likelyhood that this could well be the handiwork of home grown terror. With anti government extremism at an all time high various civil rights groups have called on these hate groups to tone down the rhetoric as we head into a closely matched election this year, Sadly no one has heeded their warnings."

And they would have gotten in they were closely linked to Republicans as well.
