I just find it very amusing that when someone else gets signs from out state its a big deal but when one of their own does the same thing its okay, very amusing.

Ok, now I understand. You're not bright enough to understand what a franchise is.

They don't get the basic distinction between ANG running to Penn to avoid paying local sales taxes and a chain operation that made signs for GA on Crane Street. These DEMS can't even order signs correctly. All they care about is cheap not helping any local businesses. Then they have the chutzpah to lie about job creation.

All these races are over. Upstate DEMS are an endangered species in Albany.

I agree -- there is a lot of hypocrisy coming from the GOP side.

Like when the GOPers/Regressives attack Democratic incumbents for various "questionable acts" but
are more than willing to give   Mr. Hugh Farley a free pass when he takes 2 trips -- one to Hawaii and
one to Disneyworld --> and sends the bill for $80,000 to the taxpayers.

How many rides on Space Mountain did you take Mr. Farley ?? -- while your constituents were forced to
stay home because their budgets were too tight.
How many luaus did you attend Mr. Farley ??  -- while your constituents were trying to save money
by turning down their thermostats last winter ?

How much did the trip to Spain cost US taxpayers?

How much do Obama's golf outings (53 I believe) cost US taxpayers?

How much did a week in Maine cost US taxpayers?

How much do "date night" trips cost US taxpayers? The trip for the Obamas to New York City was estimated to cost about $500,000 to $1M of our tax dollars.)

How much will Obama's "Christmas 2010 vacation" in Hawaii cost US taxpayers? (Last year, the hotel alone was over $12,000 per night)

How much did the trips to Martha's Vineyard cost US taxpayers?

How much did the trips to Broadway to catch a show cost US taxpayers?

How much did his trip to Europe to pitch Chicago for the Olympics cost US taxpayers?

How much did a four-day holiday weekend in Chicago in February cost US taxpayers?

How much has each job created by TARP or the "stimulus" cost US taxpayers? (some estimates put this at $195,000 each!)

Why is BHO booking EIGHT HUNDRED ROOMS in Mumbai - and what's the cost to US taxpayers? (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/new.....rooms-in-Mumbai.html)

How much do VERY frequent Stratton's trips to Washington DC cost Schenectady taxpayers?

I could go on and on, but I think you get my meaning.

And before any of you start crying about time Bush, Clinton, Regan, etc took on vacation, I prefer to deal in the current - in reality - real time, not past history.

I would like to know the answer to those questions, too -- and others -- like why does the Speaker
of the House bill us taxpayers something like $2,000 a week for booze consumed aboard her plane
when she travels --- she charges separately for the booze consumed while she is on the ground.

Fact is -- I think ALL of this type of spending is WRONG -- I don't care if it is Farley,Obama, or a
damn orangutan holding the office ... IT IS WRONG.    IT MUST STOP.
and the only way it will stop is if we vote the incumbents out.

Going back to state legislators taking trips that tax-payers pay for ---

It is my understanding that an elected official may use any surplus in their campaign committee's bank
account for expenses related to their office.     If this is still true - a state legislator or any elected official
should use THOSE funds to pay for memberships in national associations related to their elected office and
to finance any trips to attend meetings of these national associations.

Mr. Farley had about $300,000 in his campaign account on January 15, 2010 - according to his financial
disclosure to the State Board of Elections.    That would have been more than enough to pay for the
trips to Hawaii and Disney World -- and to pay for those mailers that he billed to the state taxpayers.

I question what value these trips to national conferences actually have for the taxpayers.   Also, I question
why these trips cost so much --- are they flying first class instead of coach ?   are they staying at 5 star
resort hotels and ordering lobster dinners from room service ?     Maybe they need to watch Rachel Ray's
$40 a Day show -- and learn how to travel on a tight budget  .. especially if they are spending our taxpayer
dollars on these trips.

Yet another problem with our government....

All state travelers must use non-refundable tickets...which make a normally $300 flight about $800-1000.

ANG campaign took a last body blow with the news that the Albany TU, that endorses 99% DEMS, has endorsed George Amedore{R,I,C} for Assembly.

This is the icing on the cake for GA. The TU can hardly be called a REP rag. This proves again that ANG has little support among DEM voters. ANG will do worse than Lumpy Kosiur or Mark Blanchard for this seat. All over but the crying and finger pointing. Start blaming SS Savage now. If she wasn't so laughable ANG could have done much better.

I guess the GOP will need a lot of tissues to wipe their tears  when the Democrats elect a Governor,
Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, 2 United States Senators, get their butt kicked by Paul Tonko as
he wins another term in the House,  the Woodward-Versaci-Clark team sweeps the county-wide races,
Calder wins the Town Council Race,  and we send Savage and Santabarbara to the State Legislature.

12 victories in 12 races  for the Democrats while .. the GOP sits with a finger pointed up their behinds.

Repubs didn't even put up a candidate against Woodward and Clark.
Prediction: Versaci       wins 64%-36%
                 Calder       wins 61%-39%
                 Farley        wins 57%-43%
                 Amedore    wins 61%-39%

Peter I'm sure you would like the last prediction to be true so you can continue your back door deals with Amedore but the problem is you have the numbers backwards and thats gonna mess things up for you... Santabarbara 64%- 36%
