I speak for myself and my only interest is in serving my community -- which I can prove by the hours
of VOLUNTEER service that I do.   Never been anyone's puppet.

As for you saying that the "people rejected his ideas" ???     I don't believe that is the case.  Every
one of the points that I campaigned on -- are still things that people want .. lower taxes, sound
economic development, providing quality services for the taxes paid, and a government that is
open and transparent.

Which of those things do you Regressives reject ????????

Oh that's rich. You campainged on "lower taxes" ... yet support a NEW tax for REMS.  That's classic Ron, really.

Open and transparent govt?  Cool - when exactly can we obtain absentee ballots and multiple locations (along with ease of access) for the REMS vote - and where, specifically, have you been fighting for that?

People rejected your ideas and "promises". It's a good thing they did, your colors are showing.

Interesting.  A poster asks when can people obtain absentee ballots to vote on whether they want their money used for REMS.  And he refuses to answer  It is HIS party that wants to make it extremely difficult for the taxpayer to vote.

Prohibit the handicapped, or homebound people from voting, huh?  Why, DV, why?   Why do you want homebound taxpyers to be prohibited from voting?  Why do you want to make it difficult for people to vote on the use of their tax dollars?

Why do you avoid answering that?

Can you answer a simple YES or NO to the following:     DO you favor ALL polling sites being open AND for absentee ballots to be made available?

How about this one.  Some homeonwers in town are serving our country.  Do you favor or oppose the use of military ballots for those people?

And lastly.  DO you prefer that the vote be held on an obscure cold day in the cold of winter during the rush of the holiday season?   Or do you prefer that the vote be held in conjuction with election day when there is likely to be a higher turn out of people WHO HAVE A RIGHT TO HAVE A SAY IN THE USE OF THEIR TAX DOLLARS!

YOUR buddy dems want ONLY homeowners to vote.  So, obviously  YOU cannot vote!   ROFL

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

"they" wold be DV's buddy dems

However, a city council is supposed to be elected by the people.  Unfortunately, in Schenectady the council is made up of mostly all appointed reps.  Sorry, DVOR, but contrary to your dem party buddies, this is wrong.  How can appointed legislators be reppresentative of the people?   Just need to hope that in the city, the dems aren't blind and realize that the appointed council is NOT representative of the people, is NOT working in the best interest of the cititzens---certainly NOT when they raise the taxes on the lower income people while exempting the rich from paying taxes.

If people in the city had a brain, they would elect Pat 99.99% to 0.01%.  Yes, she exposes all the wrong, just like she exposed the secret attempted salary raise for the mayor and found that it was indeed against the law to do that.

THe city needs seven Pat Zollingers on that council

Zollinger is the only 'clean' candidate out there. She is the only one who is not connected to ANY party!! She is there for the people like she has been for years and years!!!

The only blame anyone can place on the dems, is that they no longer exist!!!! They have been taken over by the con/cops!! The con/cops have the candidates and the dems give them the nod! The dems have no one to run! How do you think DeGallo and DeLeva got into rotterdam? Well, in part from the NNTP and the rest is because the con/cops put themup and the dems gave them the nod.

And then there is Ms.vellano, again a con/cop candidate with a dem nod. Hell, the dems even took in the flip flopper Santabarbara!

The liberal socialist leninist progressives are clearly nothing more than the party of whores! IMHO of course!

If the curb tax passes .. I guess my parish could ask the bishop if we could build a new church on the
5+ vacant acres (behind the cemetery) that we own in Rotterdam.

You're a hypocrite and a complete narcissist. In one breath you say how great the City is with the Renaissance, you call people who oppose the increasing taxes jealous and hateful, yet here you are opposing one of the many taxes Schenectady has imposed simply because it affects YOU and your church.

You are a very ungodly man spewing nasty comments, yet you detest a tax on YOU CHURCH. Hell, what about MY FAMILY, MY NEIGHBORS and MY FRIENDS who live in the City? We have been raped as taxpayers for years, yet we're just complainers. Take the Plex, take it's Downtown and move it to Rotterdam...to your neck of the woods. See how you would like to pay their taxes...oh wait, you don't pay taxes do you..........

Proctor's $4 property tax will hopefully be offset by the increadible amount of "curb tax" they will need to pay. New sidewalks, repaved parking lot, space both in front and in the back of their building, leased stores in their "complex", new lighting, etc. Let's see what their fair share is. Would hate to have the churches pay for the projects of downtown. You know the taxpayers and homeowners will be paying through the nose!!

Great comeback. When you get you GED, maybe your vocabulary will expand from elementary potty humor to something with substance.

Again, another attempt to deflect from the fact that you don't pay property taxes and really have no standing to comment on that area.

Mcqueen, you must be one of those damn regressives. How dare you want lower taxes. How dare you want proctors to pay their fair share instead of surviving off the already overburdened taxpayers. How dare you for caring about your family, neighbors and friends.

And not to worry, the plex is moving into rotterdam. And those damn negative regressives do  not want the city to takeover rotterdam. I mean wtf???? These damn regressives should be welcoming the high taxes, the increased crime and the soon to be vacant homes!!

Those damn negative regressives!!!

There is another beautiful mansion in the GE Realty Plot on Stratford Ave with a big auction signs in front. There is no one interested in paying the $24,000+ taxes a year for the worst schools and government in Upstate New York?

Two of his stunad neighbors have all the ugly DEM signs on the lawn. How idiotic are these people? At what point do they put DEMS and high taxes together? Many others have no signs or Pat Zollinger signs. This is before the curb tax and increased double garbage taxes kick in. The DEMS have driven all small business and professionals out of town. Soon any decent residential will also be history. Remember when the GE Plot had homeowners that weren't all tax dodging nonprofits? These all DEM morons can't be thrown out of City Hall fast enough.
