I cared for my mother in her final years of illness and am presently caring for elderly family members -- so I can understand where you are coming from.
Not quite sure what you mean by "run the town as a nursing home" -- I am sure you are making a
good point just wish you would clarify it.

we cant just go around town making programs that we (they technically) didn't invest enough into the town for......we need to build a footing with
poles then the tent fabric can go up.....until then we cant afford the 'town nursing home'.......we have to make a BIGGER investment in our
infrastructure.....we CANT wait for the next generation to deal with it.....the dollar stores just dont cut it........

I agree .. before we start a program  ... we should make sure that we can support and sustain it.
While I don't believe in just throwing around money, I do believe that IF we are going to do something
a program or a project ... it is better to plan well and don't  try to "cut corners" to save a buck or two.

My maternal grandfather, who loved to build things and garden,  would tell me often .. that the
preparation work is often more important than the work itself  (I may be badly paraphrasing) ...
but the jist is if you don't prepare well .. the finished product won't last long.   He also had another
saying about  applying cow manure liberally before planting a garden.

...yeah this gang has a LOT of cow manure to throw around!

The only problem with the "manure" posted by the regressives on this blog ... is that it is too negative and
kills off anything before it has a chance to grow.

unfortunately or fortunately that's how visceral it is out here.....honestly.....and then there's the bunch that just gave up because they're beat down to hell for the weight of the
government and are now well trained to cry to the government to ask for more, when in doing so they increase their own bondage.......

For the record, I have never considered Senders to be a Regressive or a Nattering Nayboob of Negativity.
I actually enjoy your posts and the "mostly polite" back and forth discussion of issues that you engage in.

I really do make a concerted effort to be polite......and the only reason that sometimes I am not polite is because the exclamation points aren't big
enough and I dont really want it loud.....just visceral
