ROTTERDAM TOWN BOARD SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 AGENDA 7:00 p.m.
258.10 Accept the Supervisor’s list of targeted employees for retirement pursuant to the provisions of Local Law No. 8 for the Year 2010 and Part A of the New York State Retirement Incentive for the year 2010.
This resolution should be tabled until the 10/8/10 court hearing to determine the legality (or lack thereof) of the last meeting from which it was derived.
When I first saw it, I was thinking the same thing. On the other hand, I was thinking that just because they're naming the people at this meeting doesn't mean that they will actually get to give them the bonus. This is just the releasing, officially, of the names.
I agree with gadfly.......it should be a non-issue right now. Why stir up a hornets nest, which it will, IF this issue will be null and void in the near future?

I am watching channel 16 right now, which is showing the last town board meeting. This is not the special meeting for the Ambulance squad, it's the last "regularly scheduled town board meeting," if there is a such thing anymore.
Anyway, I was watching at the time and wanted to remind people that at the agenda meeting on Monday, the person who had the DVD regarding the (undetermined) race track is supposed to have the DVD there on Monday night and it should be watched at that meeting, with more of a determination to come from this entire issue in an upcoming board meeting, possibly Wednesday's.
The agenda meeting ended quickly...FDG is away and will not be back for Town Meeting Wednesday night...watched a DVD of the race track in Hungry Hill...most of the agenda was not discussed...Bob Godlewski, acting as Supervisor, threw around a lot of BS as usual...Parisi called for the termination of Building Inspector for lack of attention in racetrack matter...DiLeva, as usual, kept them all back on their heels.
The retirment issue cannot possibly be passed without FDG...I'm sure DiLeva and Parisi will oppose the target list...so whether Martin votes yes or no, the resolution cannot be passed.

What race track? With the new change, everything is beautiful.
