Oh crap...
even the Renaissance had jousting, sword fighting and beheadings. This is just part of the renaissance of Sue Savage and metroplex. When it was suggested years ago to have the Guardian Angels come to DT, it was mocked and was thought to be "negative" but we all know it was because it was thought up by a former GOP legislator. Everyone said "it is perfectly safe down there! Wonderful! We don't NEED that kind of negativity!"
It hasn't made print yet so I imagine it can still be surpressed. |

It appears that it was only on the gazettes on line version. We'll have to wait and see if it makes it to print. I think the story should be sent to the Spotlight who seems to be the only local newspaper that is willing to do some investigative reporting and are not afraid to print it!!!!!
A shooting in front of Bombers, so close to proctors will clearly have a negative impact. The taxpayers of schenectady county can thank Susan Savage and Metroplex for the WONDERFUL job they have done! People are fleeing schenectady county while the welfare recipients are flooding in!
That seems to be their political strategy.....keep the electorate dumbed down. |

They don't need no Guardian Angels. Mayor SOS will propose more camera's on State St. Too bad no one is watching them. The sheeple have been lied to repeatedly about violent crime Downtown. There is no substitution for the cop on the beat. The cheifs father knew that. First the rape in the parking garage, then the knifing at KFC, etc, etc. But the 3 stooges keep lying about safety. Things are getting worse. More crime, more aggressive pan handlers, more gang activity, less police presence. The Jay St SPD substation should be reopened to establish a 24 hr police presence. |

Not so fast McQueen--Mt. Pleasant is hardly known for its gangsters. It's people like you who continue to make it difficult for those who still own businesses on Crane Street. Why not be part of the solution rather than pushing the Rupert Murdock BS. |

Regardless of what happens in the State Senate race (and I still believe Ms. Savage will win), the "working together works" mindset will continue to befront and center among Democrats and all those positive thinking persons who wish to continue to be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem -- like the Perpetual Negativity Choir has chosen to be. |

TU-MAN SHOT IN SCHENECTADY'S ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT-by Paul Nelson-12:03 pm A man was shot early Friday, in front of Bomber's Burrito Bar, a brazen reminder of city violence in a section of downtown that city and county leaders have millions of dollars on to create an entertainment district. The 26 year old city resident was shot after an argument with another man as they left Bombers at 447 State St around 12:51 AM Friday, police said. According to the SPD-One of the feuding men walking across State Street with a few friends when a dark grey 4 door vehicle stopped nearby. A man got out of the car, retrieved a black shotgun from the backseat and shot the victim on the left side. He was taken to Ellis and later transferred to AMC. His name and condition were not immediately released. |

OMG! Where do you start? Ms. Savage will be crushed by Senator Farley. Here are some results from her Conservative primary. Savage lost Saratoga County 81-0 and lost Montgomery County 59-3! She couldn't trick 5 Conservatives voters in two counties? lol. The working together crap already ended. Mayor SOS announced he will illegally withhold $2 million from the County. That's his solution after 5 months to solve his $13 million City deficit. What about the other $11 million? The County announced it will withhold City payments. Keep waiting for Stratton to help Mt Pleasant-he can't even help himself. |

Positive thinking doesn't result in a positive reality. You are delusional. Your positive mental imagery isn't consistent with Schenectady County's harsh and not so pleasant reality. Positive thinking toward failed policy has still resulted in a failed county. Unless you think what we have here in Schenectady County in a picture of success. Thank you for visiting Schenectady County (bullet proof vest recommended) - enjoy our failing school, high taxes, high violent crime, and gang activity. |

While it is unfrotunate that someone was shot outside a downtown business, I find it hard to believe that you folks straight away blame Ms. Savage. In fairness, you should go ahead and blame Mr. Farley and Mr. Tedesco since the shootinghappened in their legislative districts. Why weren't Mr. Farley and Mr. Tedesco doing something to stop that person with the gun. Considering that Mr. Farley is making a state pension from his SUNYA jobs AND a salary as State Senator .. we are paying him enoughthat he should be patroling the streets of his district and protecting us from harm. |

So you want a county legislator to now patrol the streets? Hahahahhaha. That's what the Schenectady CITY (aka Stratton, et al) are for. Legislators legislate. Mayors, Supervisors and Police Chiefs enforce. Why blame Savage? She's responsible for all the gin mills and drunks walking the streets - she approved the legislation allowing those businesses, and allowed them to be funded by taxpayer $. |

Actually, I was referring to Hugh Farley .. but the other Mr. Farley might as well start earning his government paycheck .. so he can patrol with Senator Farley and Assemblyman Tedesco. |

Savage is the one lying with her buddy Death Ray about the crime stats Downtown. They dumped $100 million into a 2 block area-and it's not safe. Someone got hit with a shotgun blast this morning. There is no way they can spin this, hide the facts or blame others. As McQueen stated get some safe housing and control crime-then worry about arts. Savage is responsible for this complete debacle Downtown. Ray and Morris should be sent packing today. The jig is up. Scare tax money that should have been used to reindustrialize this County, to build up our job base, was dumped into the horrible arts and drunk district Downtown. Savage will be the first to feel the wrath of the angry voters. |

If I remember hearing correctly, it was some time ago that schenectady county residents and business owners requested more of a police presence on state street. Susan Savage and Metroplex scrapped that idea because it would appear that the area was unsafe....cough cough!!!! So now not only are there panhandlers, people pi$$ing on sidewalks, puking at bus stops, drug dealers, the highest taxes, people walking away from their homes and increased crime...........there is an actual SHOOTING right in front of one of their major tax funded businesses.....BOMBERS!! YUP....Savage and Santabarbara can win an election on those accomplishments, huh? Looks like Santabarbara flip flopped at the wrong time!!!! |

Combos and Mt. Pleasant bakery are two of my favorite places. The bakery will not post their hours on the door for fear that they'll be robbed. Combos has been on Crane St for 20+ years and didn't get a relocation offer like Marcella's. The problem isn't me pointing out the obvious, the problem is Metroplex and the rest of Schenectady ignoring the blight, ignoring the small business and letting our neighborhoods drown in the sea of neglect. |

If ANG stayed a REP he could have walked into an Assembly seat in 2012. Did you see SS Savage's new TV commercial? ROTFLMAO!! An all white fantasy land-for a City that's a third minority. Now she has the NAACP on her back. She has got to be the most arrogant politician in the entire County. People are starting to examine her work history. |
