Here are some words of wisdom from one of my heroes - Theodore Roosevelt. As we kick of the fall campaign season, i offer it as a "toast" to all those of every party who are running for the various offices on the ballot.
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where doers of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly who errs, and comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming;but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. and for those who perpetually criticize those in public office , I offer President Roosevelts words :

while the Republicans have ALWAYS practiced steal from the poor and give to the rich .. which is the GOP form of redistribution of wealth to fund entitlements for the rich voters. |

Keynesian Economics is really working. $787,000,000,000 in stimulus = 9.6% unemployment. I guess the poor do not create jobs. |

DVOR you have it all wrong the Democrats don't pay their taxes, just look how many of them had to be kicked out of the Obama administration for failure to pay taxes and some still in Congress like Rangel. Daschle and Geitner are just a few are a few that just forgot to pay their taxes and Kerry tried to get out of paying Mass. high docking and sales taxes. The Reps got tax breaks and with them they employ people and they in turn pay taxes and the world goes on and the economy grows. Fact is the most taxes are paid by the top 5% of the richest people in the USA so your facts don't add up. |

people have what they have because they have what they have.....if they complain or choose to allow someone else to 'fix it' for them:
1. envy 2. jealousy 3. greed 4. laziness
etc etc......does that mean someone is poor.....poor by what standard....that is very subjective......because any person in ANY CLASS has voiced the above
when these are voiced by a person/people....someone else will own you......rich/poor......
there should be a flat tax...... |
