I'm not even sure this is a legal meeting on such short notice...but it appaears that Matt Martin may be having a change of heart.

I spoke with him at length regarding his position on the matter...a resolution that he voted against not once, but twice. He said that
the Supervisor called the meeting...I asked him why they would suddenly have reason to believe that anyone would change their votes,
the only reason they could have for trying this, again. He says he has reviewed the numbers again and that he has identified potential
savings...I asked why our Comptroller doesn't see those non-existent savings...told him that savings are realized only when the positions
are permanently eliminated, which never happens...and even if they were, it would be years before savings occur and those positions can
always be re-created under different titles and carry higher salaries.

Martin assures me that he won't vote for any early retirement that is not cost effective...I told him it is not cost effective to shell out lump
sums of money for time not worked only to turn around and fill those positions again, which we always have...and that Darlene Mullaly will
be the first one in line to collect after less than nine months in Rotterdam masquerading as a "Confidential Secretary". He insists that there
is no risk...I told him that the only way he could guarantee that was to leave the door to this blackhole closed...that to open it will leave
taxpayers vulnerable to this scheme for the rest of the year.

Nicki DiLeva is fit to be tied...she and Gerard Parisi are considering boycotting the meeting...both insisting that they have made their positions
clear right from the beginning and have no intention of changing their votes.

I expect to speak with Martin again tonight and will update you later...

disgusting by both sides

boycotting a meeting is not a no vote

this still puddle of liquefied sh!t runs deep

question to ask

whats the reward for the yes vote? seems to be pretty regional

and do we want it?

must be pretty big to bring it up 3 times

It is because they will fill these positions at a later date. There are hand picked people waiting in the wings to fill these position!!! No brainer here!

rotterdam, schenectady and glenville

the real test is will the daily gazette print the names?

if the names show up than the pay back is local if not than it is bigger - maybe a highway extension from malta to glenville

could there be something up with the tax and clerks office?
