It appears he went to Afghanistan and learned to hate Muslims... then returned home and took out his anger on the first Muslim that presented himself as an easy target...
He sounds like a coward & a screw up... How difficult can it be to ambush an unarmed cab driver, with the element of surprise, in the dark, in a closed environment, from behind?

Tim McVeigh was a patriot.  He blew up the federal building.  Shadow, Cicero, and all right wing nuts--is McVeigh your hero.  I think he was a crazy nut job.  Interfaith tolerance didn't slash the cabbie.  It is your postion on the "other" that slashed that young man.

It doesn't matter what/where this person learned it.......there are consequences and a system in place......no special 'hate crime' for this......all crimes
are hate crimes.......or anger crimes........
