And this is just one reason why I avoid the city at all costs.............unless it's something I cant avoid.  We even changed our doctors as to avoid the city. We go to doctors in guilderland and albany now. (primary, dentist and specialists)

And that's why professionals and businesses are moving out in droves. Can anyone say rising gang violence? With all these shootings nobody mentions the gangs. What was the Mayor's comment? Is he still shocked? More like shell shocked.

Great point MT. I believe "The City" has now dwindled itself into the small stretch of State Street
running from Proctors to just about Erie Boulevard. At least, this is the only section Stratton & Council
focus any and all attention, money and efforts on.

Oh, the Mayor knows of the Hill, Bellevue and the GE Plot - it's where the slumlords and strapped
taxpayers are. Without them there would be no disposable cash to fund the yellow brick road to
Proctors.

Too bad the Wizard isn't real.

He didn't know where McClellan St was-no way he could find Furman. Maybe the Deputy Mayor could show the way?

McQueen is right but don't forget to add lower Broadway and Erie to the favorite list. Upper Broadway is like Beirut after the civil war. A two block "renaissance" with the rest of the City in ruins.
