Ronald Reagan was the last president to take office in the midst of a recession.
In an ABC/Post poll at about his year and a half mark, and with unemployment then at 9.8 percent, Reagan’s approval rating was 49-47 percent –almost precisely the same as Obama’s now.

The only problem is that Reagan instituted tax cuts to get us out of the recession- leaving more $ in the hands of businesses and individual actually makes the private sector grow (what would you know never having run a successful lemonade stand?)

Obama on the other hand is determined to push his tyrant federal black jack boot down harder on the struggling private sector, turning a recession into a depression. But again, what would you know sucking that big fat tit the democraps plopped on your chin?
