McGarry should have kept his enrollment as conserv.  The change to GOP is a sinking ship.

Peeper and the rest of the Dems are worried that Brian is the candidate who the Reps will run to beat FDG (or RG) in 2011!   And Brian will win, hands down!

I would be pleasantly surprised to see the local reps endorse BM for supervisor. And it would be a first for the local reps to actually endorse a 'winning' viable candidate as of late. BUT......GP is apparently hell bent on destroying anything or anyone that he blames for the loss they took in this last election under his watch.

What do you think would happen if BM supported GA in the assembly race? Do you think the local reps would endorse BM then? I highly doubt it! IMHO

Thank you Tracey for clarifying your question.  And, for the record, I have never listed or sold a home that was owned by Amedore Home or the Amedore family.  That said, if I had a client who had interest in an Amedore home, I would have no issue representing my buyer in such a transaction.

You see, the difference here is that my support of candidates for elected office is not conditioned on receiving favors, government handouts, special tax treatment, etc. like others who are placing their own interests before that of the public.

Oh...why thank you Brad for clarifying your answer...and PS: I do know what a conservative is.... trust me

You are kidding right? I'm sure you supported FS's endorsement.

Who is FS? Why is everyone so afraid to say who you're talking about? And what are everyone's gripes with him?  Anyone care to post a relevant, point by point list?

If the Blue Moon contract was so illegal I'd imagine a state agency would have investigated and taken away someone's license. Oh wait the only license the state revoked was Eunice's Notary License.

Nasty politics as usual in Rotterdam

Re May 20 article, “GOP tiff in 105th District reveals Rotterdam grudge”: So what is new? Politics in Rotterdam are vicious and amateurish at the same time.
The really disturbing component of the article was I found out that politics is about politicians, and not the people’s business. Who would have imagined? It is all about their ambitions.
At least [Assemblyman] George Amedore knows that dirty politics are destructive.
Now if he can get out from under [Assemblyman] Jimmy Tedisco’s kilt, he will mature into his own man.

Amedore mixing politics and profit

According to the May 20 Gazette article, [“GOP tiff in 105th District reveals Rotterdam grudge”] Assemblyman George Amedore thinks it is politically correct for politicians to make zone-changing deals for the fi nancial profit of a builder! Does he think he is a Joe Bruno?
The property involved is an undersized, landlocked, water-logged backlot piece of land inappropriate for any building and part of a settlement in a suit Amedore lost for major damage to a home in building the 52 condos dubbed “Putnam Woods.”
The four acres of old-stand woods were clear-cut, and surrounding wetlands and a pond were filled in. A year-round stream was diverted and rerouted with a stone and concrete wall retaining it. The house was patched up and sold. The required secondary entrance-exit was never built.
For the record — at the town board public hearing on the zone change, local and area residents and environmentalists voiced objections — even one of the condo residents! Several of those condos are up for resale! He thinks he is collecting a [state] paycheck to represent his business.

He probably dropped his pacifier and went with Peter Guidarelli to buy a new one.
