Just had a phenomenal dinner at Canali's - as usual. I dont know why, but every time we eat there, I get the lasagna or home made pasta. They give you a TON of food, usually enough for the next day, and then some. Today, they had a modified menu, at the top was their in house cut steak. Now, I'm really pissed at the Alteri's for keeping this a secret. The meat was tender, HUGE and perfectly cooked (med rare please). I've eaten some good steaks at Delmonico's - this was the first time I wasn't able to finish a steak put in front of me. Huge kudos to the Alteri family, once again, a wonderful meal. Oh, and the only reason we didn't go the "Bear" was because we couldn't get reservations, my mouth was watering for their steak. Canali's had everything to make mom enjoy dinner, so it was a win-win situation  |
