Dude, I know you, you know me - that makes your statement all the more bizzare. You'd just LOL if you knew.
Night -v- Day. Black-v-White. Oil-v-Water.  They all have a better chance of "not being different"  LOL

Use term limits to get rid of career politicians

As a challenger for the 105th state Assembly seat, I hope there is a vote for serious change Sept. 14. I believe we need to vote out the incumbents this year on a grand scale. If we do not, the ramifi cations will be much greater than the result of one Assembly seat.
There are many reasons why politicians never vote in favor of term limits. Most of those reasons directly harm the taxpayers. The power, the money, the benefi ts, and the favors for friends and donations are all diseases affecting everyone in Albany. They are addicted to it all, and if you notice, they very rarely go away willingly. Furthermore, the power of incumbency is strong and the political system is designed to give incumbents a huge advantage so they can stay in power.
I have pledged to fight for term limits, and should I be elected, I have pledged to impose a two-term limit on myself. I believe these limits will solve many of our governmental problems. Less time and money will be spent on preserving political careers, and officials will be less infl uenced by money and power when their terms automatically come to an end.
In short, our government offi cials would be forced to focus on doing what’s right for the people while they are in Albany, rather than using Albany to do what’s right for them.

The pretend "conservative" hyopocrites on this blog (who actually work at the Assembly with George) will never admit that.

I guess GP win or lose will not be supporting Steve, Siggy and Suhrada for any elective office in the near future.  Or should we believe that this is GP's little big horn? And I thought Sarah Palin was looney?  Hey has GP reached out to Bristol yet?  Right up his alley if you know what I mean eh Cis?

See, that's the confusing part. Is GP in cahoots with steve, siggy and suhrada or is it really AS???? Everyone knows it's one or the other! Any guesses?

I think peeps point was that Steve Siggy and Suhrada would have already reached the term limits that Gerard is proposing.

Beware call for term limits and other campaign promises

In response to 105th Assembly candidate Gerard Parisi’s Aug. 30 letter [“Use term limits to get rid of career politicians”], I must say, “don’t be fooled.”
It is easy to be duped by campaign promises to change hot-button issues such as term limits. It seems that every time we open the paper, another politician is letting us down either by scandal, greed, failed promises or neglect. This has more to do with a lack of personal integrity, not the length of time in offi ce.
Imposing term limits without changing the current power structure, which allows powerful and tenured politicians to make all the decisions, is merely a populist ploy.
I encourage voters to take note that this is a tactic to win an election, not a substantive measure to provide better representation in Albany. Term limits will not lower my property taxes or make living in New York any cheaper. This election year is about us being informed voters and choosing someone who is a good representative, not a good politician.
I am sure we will all have literature on our doorstep and mailboxes soon enough, so read it before you toss it; ask questions, and most importantly, value the power of your vote. Look past the political rhetoric and don’t be swindled by campaign promises with no teeth.

Mr. Parisi was upset that he had to sit next to me at the Special Town Board Meeting ... and all the ladies
got to see how much hotter looking I actually am than he thinks he is.
