So let me get this straight...you bring up a rumor (that, to my knowledge no one has heard of. I also confirmed with Mr. Salamone that neither he nor Mr. Parisi is aware of such a plan.) than Diane piggy backs on it. You then piggy back on Diane (a sight I don't recommend seeing for the faint at heart) and talk about "that party machine."
You are building a line of thought on no foundation - it's not accurate or productive. Stick to your fantasy park, idiot. |

I heard Salamone was dropping out and that Parisi was running on the GOP line and that Calder was dropping out and Salamone was taking his place on the Democrat line... |

The rumor has been "out there" since before the GOP primary .. so there is some foundation to the rumor. As for the "fantasy park" .. it will become a reality .. and the town will benefit greatly from it. |

I doubt Salamone will get a response, let alone a debate. Calder is evasive at best when it comes to his position on the issues. |

Calder will be the winner. The Cons should love having an ex cop on the board. Salamone is not a good match here. Maybe he should run for Student Council? |

Who should Calder debate? Maybe he should debate himself like others here. No one is sure who the REP are running. Especially the REPS. |

Mr. Calder has not been "evasive on the issues". He has been happy to meet the voters and talk with them during his door-to-door campaign throughout the town. |

Honestly..........many don't have a clue what calder looks like or what his positions on anything are. All they know is that he is an x-cop! And of course there should be a debate. As long as it's not officiated by the LWV! |

If Salamone cannot compete with Calder on the isssues, let Calder prove it in a debate. |

No organization has offered to sponsor a debate. |

It's easy to discuss the issues with one voter at a time...you can go along with all...even if their positions differ. Tell Calder to address voters in an open, public forum containing a wider sample of voters...the longer he prefers the strictly one-to-one discussions, the harder it will be to impress them all at once...all gathered in the same place, at the same time. |

I have found that the door-to-door campaign is the most effective .. you reach more voters ..and you get to listen to their ideas and concerns as wells as share your own ieas and concerns. A debate - at best - gets maybe 50 people in a room .. and maybe a few dozen more see it on the cable access channel . Mr. Calder will have been to every neighorhood in the town shortly -- and have spoken with many more voters than he could reach during a debate. |

No organization has offered to sponsor a debate.
Is that Calder's excuse for hiding from a crowded discussion of the issues? That no "organization" has offered to sponsor a debate? An invitation from his opponent should be more than sufficient motivation to participate in a debate...and it would allow questions that would otherwise be selectively filtered by "organizations" like the left leaning LOV. |
