It's January 4th...Rotterdam taxpayers have already spent approximately $550 on our no show Clerk.

When is this cruel joke over?

Whether it is personally the Town Clerk or her family who is perpetuating this ripoff is irrelevant.  Someone in that family circle should come to their senses and realize that this past year has really damaged EE's "legacy" and she will be remembered as the Town Clerk who collected a paycheck without performing her duties...and the intent was simply spite.  What a laughingstock this town is along with the current administration for allowing this.

Bottom line is that EE was not capable to handle the town clerk position. It doesn't matter how it came to light, but it did and it's the truth. She should have retired. But we could continue to  'she shoulda and coulda' till the cows come home, but the fact of the matter is.........EE is continuing to collect $50K + per year, with full benefits and probably will until her term is done! Her legacy is done!

WRONG WRONG WRONG.  Why don't you guys give it up.  She was fine--got set-up by the ST gang and it all fell apart.  Now do I think she should retire.  Yes I do.  Has any of this damaged her legacy?  Not one bit.  It just makes Reps look even more reprehensible than they were.  You ever hear the saying "the mor you stir up $hit the more it smells?"  Well the longer you all carry on with this nonsense the worse YOU look.  She will still go out as the 80 year old town lerk who beat out some young thing with six lines on the voting booth.  You look ridiculous!

Unfortunately that is true for some in Rotterdam.  People in Rotterdam (especially the old democrat guard) look at a political "win" as trumping the fact she ripped the taxpayers off for $50k+.  That is why Rotterdam is the way it is.

The fact she won AND is openly screwing the taxpayer at the tune of $50K a year should guarantee she gets enshrined at the Schenectady County Democrat Headquarters.

WRONG WRONG WRONG Boomer!  Irrelevant on the "setup" theory because she notarized a deceased person's signature, PERIOD.  She won because this information came out after the election.  If that election were held today she would get smoked.  I was in attendance for the January 1, 2011 meeting and heard the back and forth to give T. Longo a lousy 5 grand more, yet total silence on 50 grand going to a no show official!  EE is like the funny uncle (not the humorous type) that families try to pretend doesn't exist, that's how the Town addresses this.  You can cheerlead for her all you want, but party affiliation aside, if you agree with this situation, the fleecing of Town taxpayers, then you prescribe to the same level of integrity.  From what I know of you, I would not think that to be the case . . . .

She will go out as the Clerk who ripped off the Town for an entire four year term if residents allow it. She should have resigned early
last year...right after the notary revelations...before all of this mounted up... just as I publicly warned her it would and urged her to
leave with the legendary status she should have had.

Boomer...plenty of scavengers from your Party and beyond wanted to run for that seat..until they found out EE would run again after
all...and their backing away had nothing to do with respect or anything like that...they knew it would be all but impossible for anyone
from any Party to beat her. You can knock LF all you want...but she was the only one with the cajones to run against Eunice...no
matter how many lines. The truth is Mrs. Fiorillo garnered more votes against Eunice, by far, than any opponent of the past. More
importantly, as the scavengers line up drooling to be APPOINTED to that seat if and when EE ever does the right thing...which is to
step down and let the Town get on with its business and stop stealing their money...LF should be immediately appointed until a
special election can be held in which she would run again because we have something on LF that we do not have for any of the other
individual trying to take that position the easy way...and that is a referendum from the public...many thousands of whom voted to
put LF in that office. That, IMO, should be all of the confirmation an appointing Town Board should need. They justified their
unnecessary tax vote by claiming the people should decide...now they should urge EE to resign and appoint LF based on the voice
of those same residents.

If those who voted for EE knew she would be sitting in Florida collecting her salary, plus a stipend for a service she is not providing,
I do not believe most of them would have voted to let her rip them off for the next four years.

If you are on the receiving end, be it dem or rep, then more than likely you most certainly are in agreement. That is universal! And that is what's pathetic!

What party I may or may not be is as irrelevant as your conspiracy theory.  If you believe you have smoke, then show us the fire or else shut up!  Everyone is sick of the beating of this dead horse.  You don't have to reply to this, but did she, or not, notarize a deceased individual's signature?  If yes, and you believe there are extenuating circumstances, then go for it.  If no, then EE's admission of that act is a false statement and she should amend that for the record.  And this has nothing to do with her "absence" and fleecing of Town taxpayers, and the gross insensitivity to the residents she so dearly served over the years.  Retire from the position, and allow the Town to re-allocate those funds to someone who can/will serve the Town.

CHAPTER 63. SALARIES AND COMPENSATION
[The salaries and compensation of Town officers and employees are determined annually by the Town Board. Information concerning current salary and compensation figures is on file in the office of the Town Clerk where it is available for examination during regular office hours.]

its is a shame that her salary wasnt reduced to reflect that amount of time she is currently there??

DVOR - should EE continue to recieve 50,000 - given her current state of affairs???  yes or no

There he goes making criminal charges against people. I have sympathy for EE but to try to deflect by charging people publicly with crimes is nuts. I suggest you call the police and ask them to make an arrest if you have so much evidence.
