DVOR - You've got absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I can say that with a great deal of conviction. First, a public official CAN be recalled. It takes a resident to petition the supreme court. Second, notary fraud is NOT a misdemeanor. It's not even criminal. It's a violation of state statute. Third, even if Eunice WAS 'set up,' she was the one who actually broke the law, so two wrongs don't make a right. And finally, I'd love to see you or anyone else prove this was a set up. You and the other EE proponents miss the whole message sent out by this series of events, which is that she's too old and too frail to run that office the way is should be run. Her deputy has done an excellent job in town hall and should really be the one making 50k per year, not someone who says 'the computer system is down' because she doesn't know how to turn on a machine, much less use one and then doesn't show up for work for a year. |

Is it ignorance or selective memory??? As I understand it, the person who went to the window was the WIFE of the [dead] guy and the STAR document was both their signatures and SHE was standing there (both names appearing on the deed) .... yes, a mistake that Eunice trusted the woman ... but not quite fraud on her part ... she certainly didn't benefit from it. When do we stop beating this dead horse??? Eunice already got her "punishment" from the Notary Dept. ... is this over yet????? |

There is NO provision to have a recall election in New York .. a public official can be removed if he/she commits a felony The person who went to the window and those who put that person up to it ... all should be prosecuted for fraud .. and they may very well be .. since the statute of limitations has not run out yet. |

Not so fast Hack. I heard from the mouth of a Republican that it WAS a set-up. So tread lightly there. |

It was a setup days before the election. If this happened and (it probably has) any other time of the year and was done by Dawn P then nuttin would have come from it. The woman would have been sent back down to the assessor's office. The staff in the assessor's office knew what they were doing. Phone records show calls being placed to Parisi's office similtaneuosly. OOOOPS!!!!!!! Er never mind Gerard wasn't invovled. |

Not FBI level but prolly local DA. Wait for GP's next political move then this caper gets more attention and the heat will be turned up a notch or two. Splains why GP tried to kiss the Dems fanny over the Angelo/George charade. He is going down if he continues with this funny stuff. Stunada. The question is.....what so-called prominent Dem stands to gain from EE departure?? What role have they played in the ensuing cover up??? Why are they scrambling for cover in the Assessor's Office? This was an affadavit from the Assessor's Office, not a bank loan or residency verification, or a passport issue. The directive from the Assessor's Office was to "have Eunice notarize this and then bring it back." Upon returning to the Assessor's Office the comment was made...."we got her." The person did as told and well........the rest is history as in Lynn Fiorillo and Craig Surprise and Steve Tomassone and Gerard Parisi and Joe Signore and Joe Suhrada and Mike Della Villa being part of a historic whupping. Isn't that enuff flesh DVR...........Nah Go Get Em Spike!!! |

The resident was told to have it notarized - the assessors office never specified "Eunice" as the only notary. |

Are you saying Dawn P was in on it? I have heard that the woman went to Dawn and she sent her over to Eunice. Yes or no? |

Aren't you forgetting that there are notaries in the Assessor's Office ? |

That only indicates to me that nobody there compromised the law to illegally notarize a document that didn't have the correct LIVING person on it - and they knew it. Kudos to the assessors office for not being so careless! |

Not saying that at all - maybe her moral and legal standards are also too high as to not compromise the law and risk her notary license. Maybe EE was the only one who really didn't give a $hit. |
