Quoted from Zorro
Don Rafael Montero Parisi will put Sergeant Garcia Salamone up as the candidate for this election.

When Don Rafael believes the Assembly race is too dangerous, for fear of an all out character attack, he will order the baffoon Sergeant Garcia Salamone to step aside.

As for who will succeed, does it really matter?

Zorro

Are you saying that Frank Salamone is the reps endorsed candidate.....over Tomasselli.....for rotterdam town board??? WOW!!!!!!!!

lol You're a better translator than me, bumble! I'd say the two are very similar. One's a doctor, one's a lawyer. Both party loyals, from what I've seen.  If that's the case, hopefully Tomaselli will take Salamone's place at the podium at town board meetings!!!

Sergeant Garcia Salamone is but a fool who is loyal only to those who he believes to be powerful and with whom such graces will adorn him with personal gain.  His name should not even be mentioned in the same conversation as the good doctor Tomaselli, he would have been a servant of the people.

Zorro is a servant of the people, not a seeker of fame.

Allow me to put the rumors to rest.

Those of you that know me and my family thank you for the support, however i will not be running for town board in this years special election.  I did interview for the position but was not chosen.  Those that I know of that also interviewed are all excellent candidates and will serve rotterdam well if elected.

Thank you again.

Thank God he won't primary whoever gets the seat...perhaps a turnaround for the Reps is imminent?!

LOL.  Not if reports are correct that Frank Salamone is the endorsed candidate.  He's about as exciting as watching
paint dry.

When Calder wins the election, the Republicans will be shut out.  It will take 2 to 3 election cycles at best
to turn the tide.

Did people vote for Eunice Esposito because she's "exciting?"  Did they vote for Frank Del Gallo because he's "exciting?"  How about Matt Martin?  Woo bingo! Watching him is a thrill!

How "exciting" can people be when presenting to town board meetings?  I don't know...what I do know is that he's said some pretty provocative things at meetings, and isn't afraid to stand up against the buffoon majority.  Don't get me wrong - Tomaselli would have been a great pick also - but I think they are on-par professionally, and Salamone has the leg up as far as publicity goes.

One ought not to seek to make a show of the legislative process. The reason Town Board meetings have become exciting is not because of grandstanding by the members of the Board, but rather because of the circus-like current administration. Perhaps Salamone can help return the Board to the proper level of decorum one expects to see in government.

I think Salamone would be a good candidate. I don't know the guy but just from what I've heard at Town Board meetings he seems to have a decent head on his shoulders. I like that he is willing to stand up for ethics, we need more people willing  to hold their government accountable, and I think he would bring a strong sense of accountability to the Board.

But Calder is more "exciting" than Salamone!

Publias, I expected more from you.  Sadly, while the town board meetings are "circus-like" Sergeant Garcia Salamone serves as the court jester.  As far as him being an attorney, the ink isn't even dry on his diploma.  For the sake os the audience, what firm does he practice law with?

"Salamone has a leg up as far as publicity goes"?  Yes, everyong at the meetings admires how well he performs his tricks on Don Rafael's prompt.

Don Lantern, he will be judged by the people in his circle and among them public trust is the punch line of a joke.

Lest your fears be put to rest, as like his brother, his candidacy is meant only as a distraction.

I wear this mask to hide my bald head and unsightly features.

So is this in fact a FACT that FS was endorsed by the rep party to run for parisi's position? Or is this just hearsay?

So Zor, ya mean that Frank is the same age as our town attorney Mike Godlewski?  They were classmates with my daughter.  I certainly think all of them are capable individuals.  Don't discourage or shoot down this generation.  Encourage and support them.  They don't have all the axes to grind that some of the entrenched reps and dems have.  Maybe they will actually do things right!

Bumble, I don't know that FS is endorsed, but if he is I think he'd do a good job.

So is that how someone gets endorsed? It depends on how many times you get up to speak at a town board meeting?
