I also wouldn't vote for someone who screwed me and it cost me a lot of money...does that make him different from anyone else?  Am I missing something here?  We all vote for people who we think we do what will benefit us somehow, directly or indirectly.

That's why this F'd up Town should have an updated long term Comprehensive Planning to prevent the day to day politics and cronyism chop up the Town into ribbons to benefit the politically connected.  If this new town board continually amends the town comp plan for their big dollar contributors at the drop of a hat, why don't they just update it?  They should just ask Bobby I and Timmy L what zoning would be most profitable for their property and update the comp plan.

It's probably H. Van Schaick.

I'd say the following is the real news Bumble: "Assemblyman Amedore shouted back, "I didn't support the republican ticket because Steve Tommasone didn't give me my zone change in Rotterdam and it cost my family a lot of money!"."

I don't care who was there or why they were there. But is Amedore serious!? The Town didn't change the rules for him in order to make his family money so he took out everyone? That doesn't sound like someone with the best interest of the people in mind. I wish this came out before the election. The former administration certainly had the best interest of the town at heart. It's time to send George packing before he causes more damage.... Hopefully the current merry band of idiots doesn't give him what he wants!

Where is that quote coming from?  I'm not to sure how to footnote a 41/2 month old alleged quote taken from the minutes of a Rotterdam Republican Meeting taken by an anonymous secretary, posted by an anonymous poster.

I can't wait to hear how "he took out everyone". What did he do to take them all out?

I would suggest to GA to stay clear of the dysfunctional local rep party. It appears to me that the local reps did GA a huge favor by not endorsing him. The local reps have lost credibility by their shenanigans and would only create a negative impact.

Rotterdam politics at it's best, as usual.

The rezone that is being referred to...is it the house on Putnam Road located next to Putnam Woods Condos?  If so, Amedore purchased that home just prior to the election to keep the homeowner quiet.  HUSH MONEY!  As I recall, without any support or assistance from the Town, the former homeowner had to sue Amedore regarding easement rights.   Here is some background info --

John and Peter what's the matter guys? Upset that your golden boy's antics are being made public? You can't expect that he would be able to get away with this crap forever. Why should the local party support the guy? He did everything he could to tank the Rotterdam Reps- going so far as to appear on campaign literature for DiLeva. His doing that because he didn't get what he wanted is ridiculous. Sorry, but he didn't get screwedout of money! The board looked at the project and found it not to be in thebest interest of the town. His response was way out of line and I wonder if it was even legal. Seems to mean  that he'd support anyone tha would give him what he wants no matter what the law says....

And so this is the reason why the reps lost? And this is the reason for the rezone reform? WOW!
