Check out the above thread "Here's The Audit Results."   I think this is the same report.

that was the tread i was looking for couldn't find, i wanted to at the pdf to the end of the thread

but i believe it just had the news articles not the report

11 items redacted in the letters from the town in a 24 page report

if you foiled the report from the town, MG(attorney) would charge you a $299.00 processing fee

we have to pay for the town staff to use the copier, the copier copy count, the electricity to use the copier, the room to house the copier and on and on.....plus 25 cents a page

Every municipality has the right to implement these charges.

However, you could also ask for a digital copy. Or an emailed PDF. At the bottom of the audit, the comptroller's office stated that you could request a copy of the audit from them. It would be interesting what fee they wold charge.

They haven't addressed the GAR issue either. They campaigned on lowering the unfair, overtaxed people in this town.....including ND! Remember, that's why she ran..... to lower HER taxes! Instead they have concentrated on issues, that through their decisions, will cost the taxpayers in litigation costs.

So far, in 4 short months, they have increased spending through inflated salaries/stipends. Through their decisions, invited upcoming lawsuits. Unethically choosing an attorney for the Ethics board. Gave Golub and Snyc the farm. Insulted and embarrassed a town resident at a public meeting. FDG's crude language at a town meeting. Acknowledged fraud from the town clerk's office. Gave the IDA away to the metroplex.

It's time to move up and out of this place, cause it's not gonna get any better as time goes on. It will take decades more to undo what they have already and will continue to do to rotterdam. Rotterdam will end up being just a liberal socialist town with welfare recipients living in section 8 housing. But then again that is what liberal socialists do.....'create' and increase the 'sub culture' so they continue to have a self serving purpose and a political career! Sad!

There are many times that I feel the same but the Town Board would love to see the "problem children" get out of Dodge.  We need more residents at the meetings who will come forward with comments that hold the TB members to a higher standard of performance and question their actions.   Two exceptional examples at the 4/14 meeting were Michael Pasquarella and Ms. Lawler.  MP revealed all their dirty tricks and Lawler wouldn't back down to MM.

Even when ST was frustrated with RG during the TB meetings (and RG was definitely a broken record on too many subjects), ST always acted professionally and refrained from the type of behavior displayed by the Board at recent meetings.   How does that saying go...You never know what you have until it's gone?

I just saw this TC...
I have had no response from the Town in a month. The records requested in my original FOIL were going to cost an intentionally
outrageous $1,800...they were going to charge for copies and labor at a rate of something around $8.00 per hr. Since the original
request would have included unnecessary documents, I amended and resubmitted the FOIL for the electronic records, which contain
only the relevant items of interest. These are records that are known to exist...any necessary redactions could easily be made on a
copy of the files, printed on a PDF and e-mailed.The problem isn't the simple, inexpensive and efficient means of delivering the
requested records..it is likely the rumored difficulty in getting employees efficient with computers to participate in what would amount
to the illegal alteration and/or destruction of those records...while I hear nothing from the Town.
I believe that if and when I ever get a response, it will be only after the Town Attorney and cooperative employees have eliminated
the incriminating portions of those records. Then they will try to charge me for the useless remainder they will claim is the complete
record.

I couldn't agree more...and I will wholeheartedly second the praise for MP...he was impressive. The Ethics Board should be afforded
the attorney of THEIR choice. Just because the law grants the Town Board authority to ram an attorney of their choosing down the
resistant throats of the Ethics Board doesn't mean they have to excercise that option. Their role in this process should be voluntarily
limited to simply making the choice of the Ethics Board official in the form of a unanimous vote to support that choice.

This is the way I understand it.......you have the right to go to the town hall and view the files you requested/FOILED for. THAT IS FREE!  It is then that you decide if you want to 'purchase' a copy of these files. All they have to do is produce the files/information, call you, and tell you when you can come in to view them. Have they done that yet?

I'm sure you've done this already, but have you called Mr. Freeman at the Committee For Open Government?

I have indeed done all of that...and yes, I have spoken extensively with Freeman about the FOIL. He said that with certain, limited
items redacted, the records I am seeking are public. The items that must be redacted will not interfere with the conclusions that
will certainly be drawn from those records.

I also can't help but wonder if Eunice's sudden leave of absence is an effort to keep Eunice out of their schemes to hide evidence of
her improper activities. That way, if they are caught, they can all say Eunice had nothing to do with the sabotage of her own
incriminating records...because she was on leave. They are in damage control...scrambling to insulate Eunice from all responsibilty
for her own mishaps.

I was thinking that she was on leave because of the two union grievances.

If there is suspected criminal activity coming out of the town clerk's office, I would think an attorney could warrant/summons for this information. This may be beyond FOILS!
