Come on....when we were that age, most didn't have a clue either. Not ALL but MOST! At that age, these 'kids' are more into parties, drinking and hormones! It isn't until they get out in the world do they REALLY become aware of real life.

My interest happen to be Art - Architecture and music. I dont care to know anything about political history- It is dull and boring. It doest matter who is or has been president- EVER. Study and learn about the things you are passionate about. Find a REAL hobby. Get a freakin life already. I could say the same thing about liberal thinking. And some people, believe it or not, find history a hobby of sorts. Especially American History. But I do agree....they are just kids. Let them enjoy their college years of studying, drinking and partying. they will be faced with their 'new world' soon enough. They will figure it out for themselves just like we did and the ones that came before us.

Firstly- I dont need YOUR definition of inculcate- I remember Frank Lloyd Wright saying that we need to inculcate an appreciation of architecture so that America would develop its own- because a country cant have its own culture without its own architecture. So we have a bit of an identity crisis here- because we are still having a problem 'breaking away from European influence- ( for you that would be the Bolshevistic culture ? )

Kids are bullsh!tted all the time. THEY ARE KIDS! I would like them to be more informed, but it is what it is and always has been!
As these kid grow up, they can and will form their own opinions on their life experiences and how the world impacts in their lives. If they are that easily brainwashed, than that is THEIR choice. Organized religion brainwashes and so does politics and even parents. It all boils down to personal accountability, personal responsibility and personal choices.
I grew up in a dem, catholic household. We even went to catholic school! All of us kids are now conservative protestant adults. So give these kids some time to form their own opinions and form their own ideologies.

Most college kids are liberal Dems while in college then they graduate and get a job, get married, have a couple of kids, and start paying those high taxes that the Liberal Dems demand to fund their welfare programs and overnight these same college grads become conservatives.
The stupid college kids now are the same stupid college kids that we now call yuppies and have made the systems we are currently 'fixing'.....and when I say 'fixing'---I mean,"... there is nothing new under the sun..." and the hippies of past are costing us a fortune now and 'fixed' SOME things in their day.......
