Do, human rights include the protection of the unborn?
Does the Catholic Church condone abortion?  Isn't Paul Tonko pro-choice?

I agree with others posting to this thread.  Tonko is a phony.

That said, if the Republicans had any intention of challenging him in the November election, that ship has sailed.
Congressional campaigns should have been started 6 months ago.  Disappointed that there appear to be no
Republicans in the 21st Congressional District who have the interest in and the support for a run.

Tonko voted for Obamacare which is an abortion bill. Yep, he's proabortion.

Father Pavone, of Priests for Life, said: "The “health care reform” bills being finalized in Congress will set off a chain reaction that will result in a massive expansion of abortion! That’s because, unless Congress explicitly states that abortion is excluded, it will be regarded as “an essential benefit” for Americans."

This is true, because some Dems admitted to Stupak that they wanted abortion in the bill because less babies being born would reduce the cost of insurance. These Dems have ice running through their veins. I sometimes wonder if they are human.

Meanwhile the "bishops" and "The Church" are all for this health care law, along with "The Doctors" and "The Seniors..."

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Father Pavone is a nut job.  I met him in Florida during the Schaivo debacle.

Hey Sunnie--just curious how do you feel about the death penalty?

boomer,

Can you focus on the issue being discussed rather than trying to redefine the discussion?  What about this abortion issue?
On which side does Tonko stand -- pro-life or pro-choice?  What is the Catholic church's position on abortion?  Finally, does
Obama's socialized healthcare include or exclude the practice of abortion by medical practitioners as part of the benefits
under government run/controlled healthcare?

Your comparing the taking of innocent life to that of executing the vermin of society who have committed
heinous crimes against innocent victims is off base.  You seem to be consistent in your defense of the guilty?
Do you support victim rights?

Name calling and disparaging folks who you claim to know or have met only reduces your position in the debate.

FOF-I am not debating Fr. Pavone. I met him in Florida and was astounded at just how small his mind and world was.  End of story.  Not to mention he was more part of the problem in Schaivo's case  and instead of being the "healing" factor he was divisive.   You folks are masters at disparaging people on this forum.  Don't hang that on me.

I am sure you know the Catholic Church's position on abortion.  Why waste time with that one.  My understanding is that the Obama bill does not cover abortion.  That could be a misconception on my part but at a meeting on Tuesday it was discussed and a former assemblyman said he did not cover it because Obama was making some adjustment and/or executive order re: that issue.  As for Tonko being for or against, I would bet personally he would be against it BUT we didn't vote for him based on his personal religious beliefs.  He should support settled law which is that abortion is legal.

If you are against abortion than you need to be against the death penalty.  Taking a life is taking a life.  "Executing vermin of society" and you want to tell me I am name calling?  LOL  You just weakened your position.  Do I support victim's rights?  You bet I do.  Look up the Amiee Willard case.  A young girl BRUTALLY murdered---yet her mother asked that the death penalty not be given in her daughter's murder.  I have stood with more than one family who has suffered at the hands of another.  I have also gone to visit those in prison who have harmed others. I have sat with those who have been sexually abused by priests and I have sat with the priests who have caused that pain in someone's life.  Spare me your righteous indignation.

If Donald Duck ran against Paul Tonko he would get 40% of the vote. Tonko needs a well financed opponent running on CONS/pro-life principles.

Tonko could care less about the average taxpayer. He is a complete dupe for the entire Obama/Pelosi "plan". While you're eating cheese sandwiches trying to pay exploding taxes. he's running to the bank.

What a heavy cross you bear boomer.  Continue to keep track of those "good deeds" boomer.  St. Peter's watching.

Nothing worse than a self righteous name dropping do gooder. My experience with those types, is that they appear to be compensating for guilt caused by their greed and stinginess, and doesn't know the meaning of discrete.IMHO

Let me tell you something Cis--as usual you miss the point because it's not yours.  You all spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find out what is wrong with everyone.  But you never do it from a place of knowing or being present to the issue.  And that is the point.  The self-righteousness is on your side of the fence not mine.  Many of you speak from conjecture not because you have experienced it.  You all talk a good game but I don't see many of you walking in those steps.

so boomer, are you saying that abortionists aren't murdering innocent victims? Or are you going to conveniently hang that on 'it's legal'?

How many communist socialist catholic doctors have killed innocent lives under the guise of 'it's legal'? How many communist socialist catholic doctors have taken blood money from the government to kill those innocent lives under the guise of 'it's legal'? How many communist socialist catholic nurses have taken blood soaked fetuses and thrown them in the garbage under the guise of 'it's legal'? How many communist socialist catholic people did it take to invent those 'sucking machines' that rip those babies apart from the mother's womb, and them take the government's blood money for a reward?

You want victims boomer? Ya got millions of screaming babies wishing you had saved them. Or will your excuse fall under the guise of 'it's legal'?

And please....don't give us the 'death penalty' bullsh!t to avoid the issue.

If tonko is a REAL catholic, than he should come out and say his is ANTI-ABORTION and PRO-LIFE. Just like he should take a stand on gay marriage. He has never taken a stand on the hard issues. He is just another puppet of the liberal socialist dem party.

You my dear, are a perfect example of what brainwashing from the communist catholic church and the liberal socialists can do to a person. But don't fret.....you aren't alone!

Your political and religious beliefs are now lock step in a socialist society!
