I thought it was illegal to make left turns out of the HESS station onto Curry.  They used to have signs at the exist stating that,...now they're gone.  I was home for 4 days and everytime I went that way there was always someone making a left turn or going straight across, tying up traffic and almost causing accidents.  First:  Why don't people stop and think before doing stupid things? SECOND:  Why is it not illegal?

this is rotterdam and no one cares
that is why capitol plaza looks the way it does
that is why we have a privately owned "sewer district"
that is why sync why sync has a CO
that is why we have signs on nearly every telephone pole for some business or other
that is why you can get a "permanent" handicapped without any doctors docs
that is why we have a stump on  wire for 10 plus years

oh, wait .....some one cares what your property is assessed at
and some one cares what party you belong to

Yeah the Republicans which is why they sent out material with FDG's house and assessment on it.

WOW...didn't know a questions about left turns from Hess would start a whole discussions on Republicans and assessments!  Are the Republicans running the Hess station?  Are people assessing the service they provide?  Let me see....I'm not sure if they are Republicans or not, but the service is really good.

That area has been an accident waiting to happen for a long time.  Even turning left into stewarts (on either side) is a nightmare, but people still do it.

That postcard was probably the best campaign material ever published.  And the he!! of it is, all the facts were true!

BTW, I know the subject of this thread is the Hess station but I couldn't resist commenting on Boomer's post.

that entire intersection can be very confusing to those who don't frequent rotterdam. Try to explain to someone who is coming up curry road from hamburg, that when they come to the light where mallozzi's is, you need to take a left cause that's STILL curry road.

And saturdays are always fun...between people trying to get in and out of dunkndonuts, gabriels, the hess station and stewarts is always a fun drive.

I guess we should be grateful that the capital plaza is dead. Can anyone imagine what the traffic will be like if and when that ever comes back to life?

Ahhhh....dontcha just love the vision and the planning? (tic)

It isn't illegal, just a very stupid and inconsiderate thing to do.  Just like those who feel it necessary when they come out on the Helderberg side to pull all the way to the left to make a right turn onto Helderberg.  Blocking the entrance from those who are trying to come in on the Helderberg side.
