Frank Natalie motions to adopt the County IDA’s proposal to take over the administrative duties for the RIDA with the stipulation to change the monthly payment to the amount of $2,000 quoted at the previous meeting. Dolores Doriguzzi seconds the motion; Brian McGarry is opposed to the motion on the grounds that he feels there has not been enough time to evaluate the proposal; motion passes.
As I suspected - he didn't vote no because he's totally opposed to Metroplex, or to their mismanagement of taxpayer funds. Nope - he "didn't have enough time to read the proposal." He SHOULDN'T HAVE TO to know what Metroplex will do!
Shame on Brian McGarry - there is NO defending this one! He is not standing up for the taxpayers, and is just ANOTHER Dem plant on that board.

I totally disagree! The way I see it, he was seeking more information (what a concept) so he COULD disagree or agree intelligently and with knowledge and conviction of his vote.
And I will say this again.........where are all of the reps these days? Clearly not at a town board meeting! Nowhere to be heard from in the media. It appears that they have forgotten that there are people out there that actually voted for them. People that voted for their platform and ideology.
The dems clearly have no problem standing up for their constituents no matter what party is in control. Apparently the reps just don't get that yet, huh? People only hear from the reps during election time!

I thought I'd wander around the rotteram ida's website. I came acrosss this that named the businesses that were awarded grants for 'facelifts' to their businesses. But I was wondering how 'rental property' such as delorenzo's was considered a 'business'. I am probably just not understanding the concept.
