You on the otherhand have to waste your time going to TB meetings so that you can live vicariously through GP.
KR does that!

MT-You are probably spot on re: that issue. It is a bit of a puzzle though how this unfolded. My understanding is that DM only appeared on the scene in the waning days of the campaign. But then set her sights on several positions in TH. I think RG is calling the shots and I think there might be a bit of a "push-back" coming from FDG who wants to be "in charge." I offer this out as a suggestion: Did they run FDG because they knew he could win and he was a prerequisite to RG sitting in the Super's seat and did EE run to hold the seat for another Dem? If the latter is true, then the Dems must have viewed Lynn as a threat but then it afforded DM the opportunity to get in. Also if that is true, then it is particularly sad that EE has to leave from a place of weakness when she could have bowed out from a place of strength. Thoughts???

If the question is "do I think fdg was 'put' in place so another supervisor could come in a few months down the road" - yes, I absolutely believe that. His own party is using him, pure and simple. They're manipulating him, knowing he didn't WANT to run, and that with his business, now coming into peak season, he'd be way too busy to carry out the duties. This was planned LONG ago, it's not really a surprise. FDG told someone I trust very much that he didn't want the position - and in fact he never planned on finishing his first year. I didn't hear it first hand, but I trust and respect the source (which many of you know) to be accurate.
The fact that EE will resign, if the rumor here is true, is a welcome announcement, IMHO. She needs to retire. She's done an admirable job for many years, she's well respected. It's unfortunate that she (admittedly) chose to abuse the powers entrusted to her and violate laws, forcing a resignation in disgrace - or at least with a cloud over her head. She could have resigned before any of this came to light, and it would have been over. She chose to stay on and show that she was in control - now, she leaves in disgrace rather than with her head held high.
As for DM, _if_ she's assigned to that office, it's payback. Fortunately, she'll never win a second term. She should be continuing with her plans she had in place when she sold the credit union - get married, retire to Florida (where she supposedly bought a house) and enjoy life. Fortunately, she'll go down with the FDG administration, again, until given a patronage job with another democratic office, someplace (city/county/etc)
Well DM needs to "light" somewhere. Her head is not at the senior center. A very serious case of senior abuse is in the middle of Rotterdam and the County has to deal with it because no one responded from Rotterdam.

Of course they viewed LF as a threat. She could run circles around all of them. EE is set to resign very shortly, then Eunice Jr. will take her place. The town clerk's office screws the town. EE should have LF appointed. She ran for the position. She wanted the position and now she deserves the position. DM has no business in that position.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
IMHO EE will not ever resign. But if something were to prompt her then DM is set to take over the Dem/Cons. would never appoint LF. Also the rumor I heard was that FDG is thinking about running for a second term. He is telling people he likes the job. I guess we will have to see how it all plays out. Hey boomer could you elaborate on the abuse thing?
Show us your true power Then name a Deputy! - in the next 30 days Get down to business - show us you care about the entire town not just those over 65 Work with the supervisor to bring forth rules regarding the handling of medical documents - in the next 60 days Provide a formal list of documents allowed to be viewed as required by NYS Law - in the next 60 days Embrace selling DEC documents as a service to the town - don't say the computer is down - the town need every $ Demand the correct documentation on handicapped permits - prevent the accusations
Ok, Tippy, I am laughing my a$$ off right now. This is a Dem. we are talking about here with the "can't make me" attitude.... She HATES the typist in her office that was hired off a Civil Service list by the Reps. She won't give her any deputy title, even though she runs the office more efficiently than EE does. As for the handicap tags, she has been handing them out like candy on Halloween for years.
