Maybe I missed something here.  If Gerard was looking to get his buddy elected, he wouldn't be seeking to run against him, would he?  Wouldn't he be more supportive if he asked the Rep committee to endorse Ang as a Dem?

Does it really matter how Gerard gains access to state government?  If you run yourself against your buddy Angelo, does it matter who wins?  THEY BOTH WIN!  I don't know the breakdown of the 105th, but I would guess the number of registered Dems to Reps, gives the advantage to the Dems.  Endorsing Ang as a Dem would be way too apparent.  Running himself against a fellow Republican would be much more discrete.  Forcing George to primary would exhaust funds he could use in the general election.  This is staged theater.

The ones who really lose are those who these selfish politicians are claiming to represent.

If you want to get someone elected and you know you don't have a shot of winning, the best way to get them to win is to be the one running against him.  This is like Elmer Fudd running against Bugs Bunny, the Coyote running against the Road Runner.

Doesn't matter who runs against Angelo.  If the local Republicans can force a primary against George, that could be enough to weaken his support and hand the election to the Democrats.

I also signed  the petition. I don't know  how Cicero thinks GP  has the  power  to control the dems and GOP. I have  no ideawhat the dems plan on  doing.  I'm a  republican and I have issues with what Amedore has been doing, should I blindly support   Amedore because of who the Dems may support? It's time the people we elect work for us. I don't believe amedore is doing this and therefore I  want  to hear  what other potential candidates have to say.

This is too funny. Go ahead and run Gerard in a primary, George will destroy him. People forget that George is as popular in Montgomery County as he is in Schdy. George has one of the most Conservative voting records as ANYONE in the state and the local GOP want to take him on..... LMFAO. What a bunch of
morons.

And lets just say Gerard wins a primary (against 1 in a million odds) Do you think the Conservative Party would endorse him when they have a good working relationship with George? All a primary does is dirty up the Republican candidates and drains their money for the general. Anyone who looks at it with some clear judgement can see it's a set up to help a DEM candidate. To think otherwise is fooling yourself.

and BT, I thought you were for the tea party as in NNTP so why would you be for an incumbent?  I would think you would like to see a new face in the NYS Assembly. You haven't supported incumbents in past posts.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Why not support someone who has not run before like Gerard?

GP is trying to sink Amedore. Why? Cause GP and the local reps have this conspiracy theory that the 'state reps', which includes Amedore, are trying to take over, influence and negatively effect the locals. So, as it appears to me, the local reps are just trying to derail the reps at the state level. If I were a betting man, I would bet that this is the sole reason IF GP runs or the local reps endorse someone other than Amedore. The local reps don't give a crap if a dem (ang) gets elected. They just want to satisfy their 'conspiracy' hunger!

So ya see husky, you've been brainwashed! This is clearly no tea party movement! It stinks of political revenge, and political and personal motivations.

I'm a registered blank....and I can see the writing on the wall very clearly!

The laughable part of all this.....is that the local reps think that they really have some influence over the electorate.

PG I could say the same for you and your ilk.

Bumble, from what I read this doesn't look like people are bashing Amedore because of political gripes. It looks to me that people are concerned with the way Amedore has been acting, supposedly on our behalf. Are you saying other members of the party should not be allowed to seek higher office if there is a republican incumbent? Out with incumbents! Out with the same old politics as usual!

And, don't forget, the NNTP was the party created because of political gripes. Mertz had a political gripe with the local republicans and created the NNTP. I didn't see you criticizing him though.

There are quite a lot of folks who really dont give a ratsa$$ what happens to the parties and their namesakes.....the objective is to remove what society has called 'norm'
for the past 40 years or so.....the social ideologies that brought us here with high taxes, a giant government etc......

both parties have their skirts up.....and neither is a polar opposite of the other or even moderate.....they have one goal,,,,,guess what that is???

so as far as I can see the constitution stands with or without the namesake parties......shaft----YOU BETCHA!!!

look past and over the horizon.......never mind the global warming or the problems in the oil fields.......

this world is global and the only way for America to stay on top is to right itself.....and remove the rats from the corn field......

GL.....I suggest you read my last post again! It's appears to me to be nothing more than a 'paranoid conspiracy theory'. The local reps 'think' they have an axe to grind.
