the problem is that all those guys still play a big decision making part of who is going to be endorsed!! they need to find someone with no baggage, no history of running as a WFP, no business connection that can benefit directly from town board influence, no history with RPD.

Since it looks like Brian Mc is takingthe lead with the NNTP - do we really want to see a three person race again

I want a grocery bagger from Hannaford that can balance his checkbook is a registered BLANK!, can design a webpage, and maybe even help out with road work.  is that asking to much

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!   THIS TOWN DESPERATLY NEEDS AN ENEMA...........what is wrong with us??? do we fear change that much?
the constitution remains the same......GET THE DAMN INCUMANTS OUT AND MAKE SURE THE PARTIES REMAIN IN THE SPOT LIGHT
,,,,,,and certainly not in a Hollywood way either.......

ROTTERDAM
Candidate for town supervisor now enrolled as a Republican

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Justin Mason at 395-3113 or jmason@dailygazette.net.

Brian McGarry, a candidate for Rotterdam supervisor and one of the organizers of the No New Tax Party, announced he has switched his enrollment to Republican.
Republican leaders are hoping the change will help bring many of the No New Tax Party followers back into their ranks as they prepare for state Legislature races. McGarry, who was enrolled as a Conservative for 15 years, said switching to the GOP is a prelude for his return to the campaign trail next year.
“My decision to change party affiliation will allow me to be a voice in one of the two major parties in our county,” he said in a statement released this week. “It is my intention to further the discussion that the No New Tax Party has begun and to ensure that our conservative ideology continues to direct the political discussions.”
The schism between Republicans and the upstart group — a mix of fiscal conservatives from several parties — is often credited with tilting the 2009 election for town offices in favor of the mixed Conservative and Democratic slate. The cross-endorsed line of Conservatives and Democrats helped sweep four Republicans off the Town Board and one from the county Legislature. .......................>>>>................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00801&AppName=1

Looks like a good move to me ~ Reps get new faces ~ voters get someone they want.

Also ~ sounds like he intends to keep the NNTP going ~ good for those guys.
