Democratic Rotterdam Town Supervisor Frank Del Gallo will be locked up on trumped up charges of activism during the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Lock Up event on Thursday, Feb. 18.
The newly elected supervisor will be locked up and under guard at 3 p.m. and has to raise his bail of $2400 before the event.
We're all so overtaxed in this town that none of us has money with which to bail out the Supervisor. Perhaps, he'll make some nice friends in the "slammer" and even learn to dance.
To all who read this forum: I had heard that the new secretary had made back her salary by getting a grant for the town. I was misinformed. She has applied for a grant that would make back her salary but no one has heard the result as yet. She, not the grant writer, wrote the grant. Spoke with two people who said the information given was not correct. I apologize for the misinformation. I thought the person I spoke with was an "insider." Mea Culpa.
Ok....so let me see if I have this straight. The new secretary that is paid $50+K with taxpayers money has applied for a grant for approximately the same amount of money as her salary right? And the grant is paid with who's money? OURS!!!
So for any elementary school kid....the taxpayers are paying $50K+ for the secretary AND $50K+for a grant. Well, I believe that 'we the taxpayers' have just shelled out over $100 GRAND!

BT - If I am not mistaken the Grants are money you already paid. If it didn't come to Rotterdam it would go someplace else. The happy part would be atleast some of the money paid out would come back.

Wasn't that an issue for C. Lazz in her last attempted run? She accepted 'grant', taxpayer's money for her historic barn! That didn't rest well with most taxpayers.

The primary purpose of having something notarized is that the Notary is verifying that you personally came before them and signed the document. Standard language. That's why you sign in front of them and if they don't know you, you must provide ample identification. What Eunice admitted to is egregious. She's not broken the law just once, but numerous times. I would expect that she would lose her Notary stamp at a minimum. She could possibly be fined. A Notary's job is public service, but you still must comply with the legal process. She obviously didn't by her own self admission. Makes you wonder what else hasn't been in compliance with the law.
