Sorry, perhaps Jews would be a better example. We don't KNOW that people in the military are Jews. If I were a soldier, serving next to another, I wouldn't necessarily KNOW he's Jewish.
If I make him do push-ups, or make a racist comment, that could open up the military and the gov't to a lawsuit. Should we keep Jews out of the military?
I believe everyone should have to serve at least 2 years in the military for some perspective. But that would be too socialist and infringe on peoples freedom of choice.

OK...say I'm a homosexual, and was REQUIRED to serve. Would it be a crime to tell everyone I was a homosexual? I hope not, because I'm a crackerjack shot!

no one should be talking about their sexual preference.....and maybe some folks get married for convenience that it never has to do with sex .....heterosexual/homosexual preferences dont belong in the public....keep it to yourself.....men and women are separated because babies often show up
and yes the reason homosexuals aren't granted 'marriage rights'(religious marriage has nothing to do with this) IS because of how our social-money system is set up.......if all of sudden 1/3 of the population 'came out' and were married and then aged and retired the pressure on SS and other social systems(which are a farce for the current system and are VERY lacking jokes) would be tremendous....not only are the boomers coming, add gay marriage and spread the spousal rights and what will we have????
