Does anyone else find it disturbing that Obama waited four days to speak about the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day? I mean I understand that you are on vacation but for god sake....you are the President of the United States...the laid back approach bothered me a bit too....maybe I'm the only one but this guys is "amazing"....(not in a good way) Get with it Mr. President and do your job!!! |

The guy is obviously way over his head. Clearly not presidential material! The liberal media and everyone that supported him should be looking for that sharp object to stick in their eye! Or perhaps we could just slap them up side the head and try to knock some sense into them! |

Yet he had the audactiy to criticize Bush for sitting in a classroom and finishing what he was doing when notified that "something" had happened at the WTC. |

I originally thought that as well but the truth is we are wrong. 9/11 is a atotally different issue that this. Bush waited six days before he spoke out against Richard Reid the shoe bomber. |

Yeah, where's that Michal Moore now?
Yeah, Bush continued in the classroom. If he were in a room full of adults he could have reacted differently. He rightfully didn't jump up and scare those little children. Maybe if he had been in a high school a junior or senior year perhaps, he could have shown his fear, or said "excuse me a moment we have an emergency."
I mean really, if you were a little child and the president suddenly had the look of fear on his face and ran out of the room without comment, Or if he stood up right there in front of those little children and said we were just attacked, wouldn't you be really scared and want your mommy and daddy.
I'd just like to know why the president didn't know about the warnings about this guy, obviously his desire to make friends with bin laden and co |

Mikechristine nobody is blaming Bush for his reaction at 911. He acted appropriately in my book. He was with little kids. Obama took four days to react to this guy but Bush took SIX days to react to Richard Reid the shoebomber. That's the point not 9/11.
Obama making friends with Bin Laden??? LOL (that was a joke right?) |

Michelle Malkin addressed some of the differences in the two attacks – and the reactions to them – here:
Quoted Text
This Politico piece tries to make hay of the supposedly unfair double standard in how Bush was treated during the shoe bomber attack during Christmas 2001 versus the “heat” that Obama is taking now for remaining on holiday.
A few inconvenient differences and facts that the article glosses over: Bush had been working non-stop since September 11 on homeland security issues and had the public’s trust. The attacks consumed him. By contrast, the current Democratic majority and White House have been working non-stop to lower our defenses and speed the jihadi revolving door.
In December 2001, Bush had not yet amassed his lousy record on Katrina, Harriet Miers, Dubai Ports, shamnesty, and the massive bailouts (all of which have been lambasted extensively on this website and in my columns over the last four years). In December 2009, Obama has already amassed enough Culture of Corruption material to fill an encyclopedia set.
And unlike the low-key Bush, President Obama has been a shameless, consummate TV hog from Day One — willing to turn anything and everything, including a race-baiting tiff between his good friend Professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge MA police — into a global “teachable moment” of “unprecedented” proportions. When he doesn’t rush to address Americans after a matter of real import strikes, “heat” — no matter how hypocritical his supporters may paint it – is entirely appropriate.
Let’s look at a few other differences: -Reid wasn’t on any terrorist watch list. Abdulmutallab was. -Reid’s father didn’t warn the US embassy in his home country the month before Reid planned the attack that he feared his son was “under the influence of religious extremists.” Abdulmutallab’s did. -Since Reid wasn’t a suspsected terrorist at the time he tried to blow up American Airlines Flight 63, there was no visa issue. The State Dept. failed twice to catch Abdulmutallab’s active visa. - No one from the DHS went on various talking head shows to announce that “the system worked” in the aftermath of the Richard Reid attempted terror attack. http://sistertoldjah.com/archi.....le-standard-in-reax/ |

There is no terrorism, only man made disasters according to local democrat/conservatives/police unions. And their guru Obama. |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |

Remember Bush's response to 2001 Shoe Bomber Attack? No? Well there's a good reason for that. There wasn't any. Or rather his response was to continue his Christmas vacation for another 2 weeks before returning to Washington DC and, as far as I can tell, never publicly addressing the matter in any form whatsoever- |

You're all correct, Bush wasn't a very good President and neither is Obama. IMO, Obama will make Bush look like a wonderful President by the end of his term. |

Give obama another year and people will be screaming to have bush back. I can see the reps cleaning house (no pun intended), in the next election. |
