Plenty of free cancer screening in Sch’dy

    Re Dec. 13 AP article, “Poorer women losing access to cancer tests”: The Associated Press reported that poor women in New York state have been turned away for free cancer screening due to lack of funding. Articles claim that state budget strains are excluding women under the age of 50, and that women are being put on waiting lists for services.
    This could not be further from the truth! Please be advised that the cancer services program of Schenectady County is committed to providing these services to eligible men and women. In fact, the program has enough funding in place to actively recruit new patients every day.
    The program provides free breast, colorectal and cervical cancer screenings for men and women without health insurance. These services are offered according to nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines. Program eligibility for breast and cervical cancer screening includes uninsured women between the ages of 40 and 64. For both men and women, colorectal cancer screening services are provided for those uninsured, ages 50-64.
    There are many local participating providers and no waiting lists for these services. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call 347-5760.

Ok....after their free screening....what happens when and if they are diagnosed WITH cancer?

And this 'free screening' is only free to the recipients. Not to the working class. It is the working class that is footing the bill. Ya know.....a benefit of that 'evil' thing called CAPITALISM.

We can test anything....anything at anytime......so what does it mean and what do we do?????........riddle me that Batman.........
