We eagerly await your picks-two days later. How did FDG, Eunice, Martin and Holly do? How about Peter G for chairman? Maybe you'll approve that one. |

As I sit here with a smile, all I really see clearly is one thing: the opportunity for the republicans and fiscal conservatives to unite again. No pointing fingers. What happened, happened. GB is not leading any marches because GB does not rely on any government job for his daily bread, but banging heads with people that have entirely differnt agendas of self interest does not really help a conservative. This conservative Republican has private sector business to conduct Conservatives (sm c) have a vehicle in the republican party but they need to jump on, not jump off. Reagan was clear on that. Avoir! |

I posted my picks, you can go back and look. They were 100% accurate. Anyone who knows Rotterdam knew the momentum that FDG had (I predicted he would win by 600 and he won by a smaller percentage then I thought---McGarry took a little more than I thought too), everyone knew Eunice would win and Judy and Holly were easy selections. I said Judy would be high vote getter---- you said she would be low vote getter. As for Martin, I would not have predicted that he would win, I thought that race would be very close and very tough to predict. Martin's final outcome surprised everyone, in that he won by such a large percentage and was top vote getter from the Town Board candidates. As for Peter Guidarelli for chairman, obviously he would be a great choice but I highly doubt he would ever take that position. I told everyone who would listen that Buchannan would sink the REPS and he did. I could care less who his replacement is but it should be someone of integrity and someone who will restore the Reps to their proper way of thinking. |

And one more thing, what killed the REPS wasn't the NNTP or any one thing; it was their leadership. Their leadership thought they could spit on the Conservatives, take on Eunice backers, degrade FDG's integrity and turn their back on their own party members. It was shear ego at work and in the end, that's what took them down in this town. Not to mention, the individual responsible for their campaign lit should be hung up to dry.
City committee? what city committee? Individuals of integrity with a great message united and ran as a team and won by a landslide. It wasn't their Town leadership who put it together, it was members within the town who put that team together. Individuals with Integrity and without an agenda from within the Republican Party must take back control of their party. I almost spit my coffee out this morning when I read Sherman's comments. He has done more to destroy the Town of Rotterdam's REPS then Buchannan and Parisi combined. What a joke. These guys were all under Jimmy T's and Sherman's thumbs but as soon as they lost, off course Sherman says what he did. Too funny. This ought to be fun to watch. |

PG13 --I predicted Martin would be the high vote getter because he is a young man. Young people turn out for other young people. Also his father was very popular with the senior set. Just all made sense.
If you plan on helping the Reps get a chairman (and it make no matter to me I am a Dem) you will hve to look far and wide for someone who can restore dignity to your party. TB and GP have been making fools out of the party for years and you have all permitted it. GP's assertions on FDG were unconsionable and have hurt your party in the eyes of everyday folk on the street. Not fielding any candidates in the city for several races was also foolish. Bad for Reps and bad for Dems. Bring back Reps who act ethically like Mary Barrie or Carolina Lazzari. |

In July the consensus here was Eunice would lose because of her age and her opponents 4 lines. Only I stated she would win and that the REPS were wasting valuable resources on this race. On FDG, we kept hearing here that he was tanking. I said he would finish first and no way ST would be re-elected. As far as Sheriff-take your victory lap-but also read today's editorial. We agree on Peter G. Bill Sherman also had some important statements in today's paper. How about John Mertz? He would be a huge improvement. "Proper way of thinking"-lol- If you said anything-nobody listened. |

Totally agree. Who was that person? lol. Great "plan" attack Eunice and anger all the seniors. Integrity? They called FDG stunad. Anger the seniors again. Everything they did backfired. What kind of REPS attack a successful self made businessman? |

to say the NNTP had no effect on the Rotterdam election boggles the mind. Where would those votes had gone if the new party did not exist?
Can't wait to see the broom sweep out surprise and parisi from town hall, plus the other hanger oners, like that woman they hired for economic development, say bye bye |

PG13--so become one! Big deal are you a Con--switch--lots of folks are doing it. Are you ethical? Do you have the ability to bring dignity back to the party? Is your world view bigger than TB's? Switch--do it today. Carolina was a Rep. She can do it again. And Mary Barrie IS one. Be the change you want to see in the world PG. |

You make everyone laugh benny. You clearly have no plum line do you? No opinions you can call your own. OBVIOUSLY! You just put your finger in the air and see what way the winds blowing. No character or credibility. Are you promoting P.G.? Funny, for someone, like yourself, who hates the plex, yet you promote the guy who benefits from it? And isn't this the same P.G. who's company was promoting walmart when they tried to land in rotterdam? But what do you care...you don't live there anyway. You supported the NNTP candidates and cheered on fdg? Are you, along with the empty skirt, lunatics or just political whores? |
