Ever notice Cal when the Republicans get beat at their own game they pull out the Jimmy Costantino trump card?  One would think that this would be a  wake up call to the Administration, that there is a "loose" work ethic hanging over the Town Hall.  You know kinda like saying "who cares if you aren't doing your job, we'll just say its political gothcha when you are called out on it."  I think Steverino and his group of "apostles" are a shameful display of the old adage; "ABUSE OF POWER."

I have heard that the Town Hall is left leaderless while Steve dilly dally's out of Town.  All the rhetoric aside, we deserve better.  Tsk Tsk Tsk

GB--I was one of the biggest opponents of Jimmy Constantino back in those days.  But I never heard he was bothering girls until the suit came out.  Do you mean folks in this community knew and then neither did or say anthing????  That astounds me.  I thought there was only one incident.  That is ahuge indictment against RPD if that is true.

It was common knowledge around town.  The RPD isn't the highest paid force in the area by accident.  Some sweetheart contracts were negotiated during the Constantino days.

Puddy you are absolutely correct.  ST wasn't in office five minutes when he started that stuff. And btw, HV was part of that team. As for being leaderless--that couldn't be more true.  He has Fiorillo answering his calls.  Paolino NEVER let that happen.  He had his finger on everything.  Let folks do their job but was an terrfic Supervisor.  IMHO

Yes EVERYONE knew. Yes there were many incidents. Yes the community spoke up. These people could not get through that big blue wall.
It happened in the town of Guilderland, and they handled it swiftly.

It was Mary's backhoe he was riding........

This rates right up there with the pond as issues that no one cares about.

Looking forward to another brilliant cartoon from Howdy Doody and Steverino?

Dumping incident could lead to discipline
BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

At least one town Highway Department worker could be disciplined for dumping the mysterious piles of rubbish in a decommissioned lagoon near the Rotterdam Sewage Treatment Plant, Supervisor Steve Tommasone said Tuesday.
Town officials investigating the sudden appearance of treated lumber and a 55-gallon oil drum in the lagoon last week discovered a fresh haul of scrap metal in the same location off West Campbell Road. Tommasone said the new refuse was found even after a cleanup was ordered by the town this week.
“Obviously, they were there to remove material, not put more material in there,” he said of the town workers. “In my opinion there are some dirty tricks afoot.”
Meanwhile, investigators from the state Department of Environmental Conservation are continuing to investigate the first incident to determine if the town should be penalized. Spokesman Rick Georgeson said the matter is an ongoing enforcement case and declined to comment.
“Nothing has been finalized yet,” he said in an e-mail correspondence. ............>>>>..................>>>>...............................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01904&AppName=1

Could it be that wheeler dealer, former DEM Highway Superintendent, Former DEM Chairman, Paolino surrogate, and close ally of John Mertz and Diane Marco, Mike Greasemer has been put on notice to start looking for another job?

Probably already has one lined lined up in the City of Sch'dy.  Unless of course he "backstabs" (which is his trademark,)  one of his subordinates to take the fall.  This a definate wait and see.

As the worm turns!

Sounds like the days of another employee that was fired from there cause he didn't fit the political "profile" - and didn't play the game the right way.

MT- there is a difference between not being re-appointed and FIRED.  Steve Tommasone and John Mertz got FIRED from their political jobs.  Maybe just symantics but I believe the situation you are referring to had more to do with being told the person was going to be re-appointed after election, then there was a change of the heart.  (That I believe Steve will look back and regret for the rest of his life.)

This thing with Greasemer is misconduct in office.  Not political like the above.  IMHO

The unions will never let a termination happen - unless it's a concession for political advantage ... IMHO.

Misconduct trumps all of that MT.  Greasemer should just resign in disgrace.  It would help Steve politically.  HeHeHe

Did they find any missing FDG signs at the dump? How about stolen NNTP signs?

Steverino should thank the Lord this is a 3 way race. An incumbent stuck at 30% support? Only in Rotterdam. Don't waste your vote on the Steverino/Surprise dead enders.

Thats all highway dept property and highway workers involved. Griesemer has nothing to do with that land. The garbage they found came directly from the highway boys. This I know from inside sources.  So it seems steve is in a panic and ready to blame it on politics once again. Just another town cover up. Happens alot more then you people think. After the election no one will care and everyone will forget and move on.

Doesn't the responsibility for the highway department fall on the shoulders of the highway superintendent, Jim Longo.
