SCHENECTADY
Council to enforce residency stipulation

BY KATHLEEN MOORE Gazette Reporter

Memo to city employees: Don’t move out.
The Schenectady City Council, disturbed by reports of city workers moving out of the city because department heads have been allowed to flout the residency law, voted unanimously Tuesday to enforce the law with renewed vigor.
They agreed to restart a residency committee that would have to give approval before any city employee — from the top department head down to the newest laborer — could live outside the city limits.
If the committee does not grant a waiver, the employee must resign or find a place to live in the city. It’s not yet clear how the committee will handle the cases of employees who have already left or were given jobs here without having to move into the city.
Mayor Brian U. Stratton has publicly defied the law since his election in 2004 by hiring department heads from other towns without requiring them to move. The sheeple are home throwing up. They have had enough of Son of Sam and his stunad rubber stamps on the pathetic City Council. The same crap every year-Son of Sam refuses to cut anything-raises taxes and hot potatoes it to Mark Blanchfield.

Was at a sit down recently with other businesses leaders. They have all had enough. We know that the REPS have gone out of business and unplugged the phone. Something is happening. The NNTP or something else will fill the vacuum.

It is quite obvious that it's EVIDENCE like this which is why the dems REFUSE to post the minutes of the council meetings, they don't what the taxpayers to be able to research what happened yesterday
