First of all I didn't know Macejka had sole approval for spending $750,000 on a much needed reval. Thank God he had the "GUTS" to do it (Sound familiar HeHe). (Fact). Secondly, I believe the money didn't come out of the taxpayers pocket in terms of a tax hike but creative financing ala Paolino and Aragosa making it happen.(Fact) Third Tommasone and Mertz could have saved the taxpayers even more money had they bonded it over twenty years but the SMART guys who just got clobbared in this last election voted against the bonding.(Fact) Another brilliant strategy. BT and Cissy -Move forward on the whole reval issue. It is dead and buried. Sprinkle holy water on it. All the players except Patrick Aragosa are OUT of Town Hall. Please join us on the " Revitalize Rotterdam Train" It's leaving the station on January 1, 2010. Reserve seating is limited and by the sounds of your passionate rantings you really do care about the future of the Town. So hop on board guys. The Party is just beginning. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
do they have the kahunas to revitalize past the county/state/feds????? Because---REALLY,,,,this is bigger than Rotterdam..... |

I wasn't part of the 42% mandate that FDG received. I will not hop on board...But I promise, I will be watching closely. |

What he can't get through his BIG FAT BLANK head is Real Property Tax Law. Cissy obviously has issues with his paying his fair share in taxes. Typical naysayer who got caught not paying his fair share of the tax burden.
I don't have a problem paying my fair share. I just don't understand why $750K for a town wide reval, or why so many buildings and property are not even on the tax roll. Does Real Property Tax Law prevent Nimo property or Banks from being on the tax roll? HEHEHEHEH

Yeah,,,he was just mysteriously let go from his state postion. HEHEHEHEH |

You know, PDQ, I read with interest and consideration your post on another thread recommending to me that I accept my defeat with grace and dignity. I agree with you that such behavior is indicative of a humble person. My posts, however, were not directed at any person or candidate, but rather about the political system and the practice of personal destruction that permeates Schenectady County politics. The validity of your message and advice to me is compromised by the persistent display of vindictiveness and immaturity that characterizes your posts. You see, at one time in the past, I had welcomed your inputs despite our apparent differences in positions on some issues. I considered you a friend, although we had never, to my knowledge, met in person. But, your posts during the past several weeks have characterized you as loathesome. I am sorry about whatever life experiences impacted you in such an adverse manner to affect you as it has. I pray that you may find forgiveness, acceptance, and inner peace. It is as important to be a gracious winner as it is to be a gracious loser. |

The difference is Brad.....I was not a candidate for Public Office....you were and sound as if you still have that fire in the belly. Good Luck.........I am a pretty good judge of public perception and nailed the outcome of the Local races bar none.....Take my advice........find new friends if you ever want to be successful; (a winner) or keep hangin with that BUM John Mertz and suffer the indignity of his ways....... ciao |

I am quite content with my life whether it includes public office or not.
God has blessed me with a loving wife, two children who have grown to be honorable, respectful and productive citizens of society, healthy and active parents, a career in the private sector by which I earn a sufficient wage to feed my family and provide them shelter, a sense of self-worth and self-respect, the knowledge of right versus wrong, and a steadfast faith.
The "fire in my belly" is an inbred determination to do what I believe to be right and to make a difference where I can in the lives of the people around me. I try to adhere to the "Golden Rule". I try to see the best in everyone, though that ability was challenged during my recent campaign for elected office. I don't easily understand or accept "man's inhumanity to man", not just with regards to war and strife but to everyday interactions with each other.
And as for my friends, I extend to each my trust and caring until they give me a reason not to. John, Michael, Brian and I formed a relationship based on mutual understanding and trust. Though there were differences of opinion as there are bound to be between any group of four people, we worked together as a team. We celebrated successes together and consoled one other in defeat. I am a better person to have met and known each of them.
Congratulations on your powers of perception and on your accurate predictions regarding the local races. I hope that they will bring you the same happiness and success that forgiveness, acceptance, understanding, love and faith will bestow.
