Oh yes, if you believe in fairy tales, then I must be a co-conspirator. Sprinkle a little fairy dust on the story
and maybe it will become true. LOL.

Your obvious sympathy for the Dagostinos will not change what happened...nor will your pathetic attempts to shift the blame onto
anyone else. Maybe someone should sprinkle some truth serum over you, the Dagostinos and their protectors.

And why are you
emphasizing his role as husband of a county leg candidate when he is also the FATHER of another, who just happens to be the Chief's
best friend/recent RPD retiree?
And ALSO running for office! Sad, but true!

True about Tonko.  But she had him beat in a lot of places.  I did not say the sign incident is why she lost, I said it tainted her campaign as well as Phil's.  Had Phil stepped out of the race, you would be calling Tracy Madam Congresswoman.  I voted for Tonko.  He had name recognition but not so much in Albany.  This was the first REAL contest he ever had.  He was extremely nervous over that campaign.  He will have to be equally as nervous over the next one.

And Benny is right.  It was a petty and stupid thing to do and in this particular case an abuse of power.

Joe Suhrada had nothing to do with the culprit's action. I do not believe anyone told Bob Dagostino to take that sign. And why are you
emphasizing his role as husband of a county leg candidate when he is also the FATHER of another, who just happens to be the Chief's
best friend/recent RPD retiree? As previously mentioned, I suspect that you are one of the co-conspirators in the cover-up in progress.

I honestly thought it was either Brad Littlefield's wife or Mary Barrie's husband. LOL I assumed wrong.  BUT it doesn't change a damn thing.  The alledged "sign thief" happened to get "caught."  Now what?  Public hanging? Stone em to death?  How about the old Frontier Town Water Dunk?  Who were the first responders?  I hope it wasn't Mark Fuhrman?  IF it don't fit you must accquit?

Bring in the FBI....  Maybe Jeff Curtis, Lazzari best buddy on the force can give a "what to expect in prison scenerio to the alledged perp?"  Perhaps?  ROTFLMAO HARD

So we can assume that it is 'fair game' for anyone and everyone to go out and steal campaign signs without consequences? And that the cops will cover for any and all of us if we get caught? Interesting.....

Don't worry PDQ...I never expected anyone to arrest or prosecute a Dagostino. I would like to think that at the very least, however, that Bob Dagostino will think twice before doing anything like that again, knowing that he can be caught and not everyone will thiink that he
should get away with it because of the influence he enjoys. His son and his buddies are not going to tell or arrest him, and his son's
unopposed "running mate" is not going to prosecute. That is the reality and I always understood this throughout the incident, and in
the aftermath. The realistic goal in seeing it through with the police, etc. was to hopefully deter that sort of thing - not just BD, but any
others who may be engaging in similar activity. The disappearance rates on campaign signs this year has been much worse than
usual...but interestingly enough, I have noticed a definite halt in that trend since Monday night.
And by the way, shame on you for thinking that was Brad Littlefield's wife...you should apologize sincerely by voting for him...he is, after all, the best candidate in that race, in every way, by far.

I just find it too funny, that someone, who is IN law enforcement, and running for a high office in law enforcement, has a family  member that actually breaks the law, and gets a pass. Toooo funny. Only in schenectady county!

Are you really surprised, this has been going on for years and years.. it's the way of the police..

Not to incriminate anyone I"m going to leave this as vague as possible.
I Know someone who works for one of our local city police forces.. he has another family member who  has a "family member badge".
When he gets pulled over "which is all the time" he flashes it, and they let him go, and appologize to him.. i heard this story strait from the horses mouth about a year or so ago.. i don't know the truth of it, but the family member claims he has one.

And that's the tip of the iceberg..

My point? (we all know i get off tangent)  They are all normal people who work jobs as cops, with the same problems, addictions, and issues that we all have.  People in IT get free software from there work places.  People in the food industry eat for free / discounted.  People who work at strip clubs get to see more naked ladies.. people who work in law enforcement get their fridge benefits too... I'm surprised that this actually surprises anyone

Nope, I'm not o.k. with it, I'm just not surprised at all, in fact, i feel it's pretty much status quo..  Power corrupts and all that.

That whole event is an embarrassment not to mention just stupid.  The onus is on Suhrada to speak out and demand an apology at the very least.  Do it Joe--you are owed that. The cover-up issue is the more important issue for discussion.  Joe may not want to keep mixing it up because you know what they say about sh-t--"the more you stir it up the more it smells."
