Well I don't think that is necessary.  However what ever was witnessed was wrong.  And though you and I agree on  NOTHING, what happened was not right and you don't deserve that.

It is not the $3.50 sign that was taken from whichever candidate, it is the idea that democracy can be pushed about by a bully, then covered up (by the right or left or whoever) that is wrong. Nobody will change any election by removing or stealing a sign. What is disturbing is the inference that the witness to a crime should be threatened or bullied, or the act should be covered up such that an influential person on either side of the aisle is protected as part of a special class. Should the taxpayer resources be expended on such a triviality? No, in my opinion, BUT the perpetrator should suffer the indignity of exposure and the authorities and all good citizens should be aware of such foibles. WHO is the victim? Truth suffers and fairness blanches. The whistleblower is treated as the evildoer. Signs get thrown away the very day after the election. Unfairness will leave a bad taste in our mouths for much longer.

I know it's not about the sign.  But what is right is right.  Taking signs is wrong.  Not sure if you remember last year an over-zealous member of the Tracy Brooks team stole Phil Steck's signs.  Phil stuck a lot of money into his campaign.  Tracy could have beat Tonko.  She had him beat in the City of Albany.  That little episode screwed her.  Steck was never going to win.  He was too arrogant.  He's done some very good things in Albany County but arrogant.  It was unfair to pull that on Phil.  And it was unfair and inexplicable to me why he did it.  You are not running against his relative.  Just dumb.  Sorry that happened to you.

It is not me and don't fell sorry for the candidates. Feel sorry for our town that this is how things are. And feel sorry that the witness gets a subtle threat from the police. Makes me think something is wrong with that picture that she would. Arrest HER? When I heard that I sat up ad took notice. Since when does someone get arrested for reporting a crime, even if it is against a policeman's father?

I can't believe I am saying this --ALL POSTERS TAKE NOTICE-- GB you are right.  I agree with you.  But I do feel sorry for the candidate. (not in a condesending way)  I just think that activity is wrong.  People run for office because they believe in what they are doing--at least most folks do.  And it costs money to get their message out whether it is a message we want to hear or not.  That is unfair play.  Yes GB mark the date--I agree with you!

Fair enough, I am mos upset about how the witness was discredited and subtly threatened. That won't go unanswered forever. Whether I agree with her politics or not, to have the police use a statement to the effect that she could be arrested for reporting what she saw, that bothers me.

You must be one of the co-conspirators in the cover-up...

Maybe the police commission wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Yup it is. It is making people wonder if this is the same person who has been taking the littlfield, mcgarry and other opponents signs too. What a shame. The cover up is the worse shame of it all.

Take Note "October 16, 2009 Cal Said GB was right, not once, but twice"

Next thing you know Reps will love obama, and dems will praise Bush.. the world is upside down, I'm going to my bunker.
