MT--You're probably the one who wrote the Pope to get the investigation proceedings on the American nuns. You would be just that kind of "Catholic." LMAO

What's right is right - don't you agree?
(How'd I know you'd be against that? ... Are you as anxious as I am about their findings?)
How did I know you would be for such stupidity. There's no cure for your kind of stupid either MT/
The priest in my parish gave a homily last Sunday about this lunacy. In fact he did it at both Masses. The congregation at both Masses gave him a standing ovation! Guess you would find that out of your comfort zone. Maybe when Joe Lazzari gets in, he can take them all to jail.
I haven't noticed your friend Marcia Blair changing back into her habit. In fact at the CSJ assembly, there were hardly any nuns wearing a veil. OHHHHHHHHHHH must be out of control there.
You forget the new guy with the red shoes was part of the Nazi Youth Movement. He was out politicking to get the job. The American church has a huge problem with him. He has already proven himself to be untrustworthy. Too bad he was elected. The Pope should have come from a South American country. You're the expert on computer and internet services, why not email him and find out what this is about. I would be you're not in favor of women's ordination either. Oh right, Catholics are not even allowed to discuss that lunacy.

Wow ... FYI, there is NO such thing as "American" church - we are ONE church, believe in ONE God, the Father Almighty - AND have faith that the Holy Spirit has guided the decisions and prayers of the chosen Successor to Peter. It's not an "election" - it's an appointment, by the Holy Spirit. "New Guy", "untrustworthy", "too bad he was elected" ... what exact faith are you? You're certainely not any Catholic I recognize, and you're definitely not in communion with Rome if this is your attitude.
As for the ordination of women, you're WAY off base.
1 Cor.14:34:
"The women must be silent in the churches. For it not permitted to them to speak, but to be subject, as the law says."
1 Timothy 2:11-12:
"A woman must learn in silence, in all submission. I do not permit a women to teach or to dominate over a man, but to be in silence."
There is NO provision, in 2000 years of the Catholic Church for the ordination of women. If you don't like it - join/particiapte in a religion which does recognize it - there are plenty.

With the heresy in this post, you're really showing your true colors. I'll have to make a couple of phone calls and see if your mentors at PH know what your beliefs are. They are not in line with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Perhaps that's why the Holy Father felt it necessary for the "visit".
I haven't noticed your friend Marcia Blair changing back into her habit. In fact at the CSJ assembly, there were hardly any nuns wearing a veil. OHHHHHHHHHHH must be out of control there.
You obviously know nothing of what you're speaking of. When Bishop Howard Hubbard came to the PH about 20 years ago, he ALLOWED / ENCOURAGED them to remove their habits / veils - but said, and I quote "If you remove them, they're not to be put back on".
So, there's no provision for ANY nun, by the Bishops orders, to return to wearing a habit/veil.
Look MT you just don't get it. The Pope is elected by the Cardinals who are eligible to vote. Did you think the HOly Spirit flew around the Conclave and tapped the winner on the shoulder? And by the way ANY MAN in good standing can be elected Pope. Did you know that oh Holy One?
Study up and get back to me. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany does not discourage this topic to be discussed. The growing number of members in WomenChurch are quickly sneaking up on folks like you. Call To Action is beginning to take the lead in the American Church. Maybe you could go to their conference next week. I realize this is tough for you but maybe you can find a Latin Mass where you are. Dominus Vobiscum!
Can't be. First Hubbard cannot make that determination. CSJ's as well as most other orders are "papal congregations." (This is the reason for the inquisition currently) Even if the Pope said sorry girls you're wearing the habits again, they still don't have to abide by it because that would be considered a "non'essential" meaning it's not part of the vows. There are several CSJ's who have taken off the veil and then gone back to it. You don't know what you are talking about. Don't spread untruths regarding this issue. You simply don't know what you are talking about. Got to go now--time for evening prayer.

More Deborah Riitano showing her true colors.

Benedict prayed 'not to be Pope' Bishops queue to shake hands with Pope Benedict XVI during his audience with German pilgrims The Pope has been holding the first audiences of his papacy Pope Benedict XVI has revealed at an audience with pilgrims that he prayed to God during conclave to spare him the "destiny" of becoming Pope.
He had thought that at 78 his "life's work was finished and I was expecting quieter years," he said.
During a press briefing in Jerusalem today, the Vatican spokesperson, Jesuit Fr. Federico Lombardi, chided reporters for repeating what he called a falsehood – namely, the claim that the young Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, was once a member of the Hitler Youth.
"The pope was never in the Hitler Youth: never, never, never," Lombardi said.
Unfortunately for Lombardi, his assertion is contradicted by a fairly unimpeachable source: the future pope himself.
Before proceeding, a necessary caveat: The historical evidence is overwhelming that Joseph Ratzinger’s family was ferociously anti-Nazi, and that the future pope was appalled by the arrogance and destructiveness of National Socialism. He was never a Nazi party member, entered an auxiliary unit of the German army only when forced to do so, and deserted before war’s end. He was an American prisoner of war in a camp near Ulm, Germany, before being released and returning to his seminary studies.
Nonetheless, it is a fact of his biography that Ratziner was once, albeit briefly and involuntarily, enrolled as a member of the Hitler Youth. The relevant documentation comes from the 1997 book Salt of the Earth, based on an interview which then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger granted to German journalist Peter Seewald. Here is the exchange, which appears on page 52 of the English edition:
The growing number of members in WomenChurch are quickly sneaking up on folks like you. Call To Action is beginning to take the lead in the American Church.
Again, there is no "American Church" - or "Women Church" - we are ONE church. Are you planning or participating in a schism?
MT....why do you waste your time answering her posts. The woman is clueless. And by the way...she is what bloggers call a 'troll'.
When the INSANE are running the ASYLUM In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. -- Friedrich Nietzsche

An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" or "Message Board Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Forum Troll delights in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.
