Failed abduction reported on Schenectady street
SCHENECTADY -- A 12-year-old girl averted an abduction Thursday morning by calling for help after a man in a white four-door sedan tried to get her into his car on Craig Street, police said.
The girl, on her way to Mount Pleasant Middle School from Albany Street, noticed the white car driving past her several times. The driver stopped and called over to the girl saying, "Get in the car! Get in the car!" motioning for her to come over. The girl ran down Craig Street, yelling for help and the car drove off.

Police checked the area and have surveillance tapes. The car is a Dodge Neon and the driver was described as a dark-skinned man in his 30s, with short, dark hair, wearing a shirt with a blue collar.

Public helps police probing abduction attempt

BY STEVEN COOK Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Steven Cook at 395-3122 or scook@dailygazette.net.

City police Friday continued to investigate the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl, getting help from the public.
Several people have called police after spotting white Dodge Neons; a couple of drivers even followed the Neons for some time as officers responded, police spokesman Sgt. Eric Clifford said.
A white Dodge Neon was captured on police surveillance footage driving away from the scene of the incident.
Clifford, however, recommended drivers write down license plate numbers, rather than following the cars. The plates or other information can be called into the police tip line at 788-6566.
The case began Thursday morning when a 12-year-old girl reported a man trying to lure her into a car on Craig Street.
The girl was walking to Mont Pleasant Middle School near the bridge over Interstate 890 when she saw a white four-door car go past her several times. The driver then stopped and yelled “get in the car, get in the car,” while motioning with his hands to come over to him, police have said. ..............>>>>...............>>>>...........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01703&AppName=1

So much for the sex offender law, huh? There are new predators and old. Ya just can't stop them.

Too bad Sue Savage/Lumpy's pedophile relocation to the Hilltowns did not pass? ROTLMAO!!

That's the DEM solution. Take all the pedophiles from the City and dump them in the suburbs and rural areas.
