I dont know about anyone else---I'm just trying to shake my chains off......and when I do get them off,,,,,,,,,hhhmmm,,,,,,,,
I dont know what I'll do.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

I wonder if the new administration is going to follow in the footsteps of the issues they brought up when Bush 43 was President...

Writer of ‘10 Democratic Commandments’ wrong

Re Sept. 9 letter, "Democrats' idea of the the 10 Commandments": OK, Mr. Malecm this time you have gone too far.
How dare you throw such insults at me? I am a Democrat. I am an American. I believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I believe these apply to all citizens.
I believe in capitalism. I also believe that we have a responsibility to help our fellow citizens. I am a senior citizen who has worked hard all my life and would be in bad shape if it wasn’t for my pension, Social Security and Medicare. I don’t believe these are a way of redistributing wealth, but a way to help others. I don’t have, nor have I needed, Medicaid, but it also is a program to help the needy.
I believe that freedom of speech is for everyone, and no one has the right to shout down the ideas of others, as has happened lately at some town hall meetings. Everyone has the right to be heard. Not all opinions need to be accepted, but everyone has the right to state his opinions and concerns.
As to the rest of your points, they sure don’t pertain to me. I will comment, however, on No. 6. In this country, abortion is legal. I may not like it and you may not like it, but it is not for us to judge. It is legal.
So you see, you don’t know me and many Democrats are like me. Are most Republicans like you? Do most of you attack without knowing the truth of the matter? Do most of you label individuals and decide what they think?
