Farmer Paul Tonko thought it was a "wonderful" idea for Metrograft to give GE it's entire budget this year. After the workers took a pay cut, time off and early retirement package. Typical Tonko. It's all about helping huge corporations and stiffing the workers and taxpayers. Then he refuses to listen to anyone but stunad Son of Sam.

GE gets a special assessment deal while the sheeple in Rotterdam and the City will have to pay more for this tax give away for this multi-national corporation? Look forward to asking Farmer Paul Tonko about this today at Schenectady City Hall at 2pm. See y'all there.
Gee...and they say that the reps are all about big business! See what  I mean...ya can't tell them apart anymore!

Does he know the diagnosis and health issues of his constituents? NO......what a whack-a-mole game they are playing

Whackado is more like it. This "Town Hall" was a complete fraud. 2pm in the afternoon in his "office" in sweltering City Hall that was packed with KRAT lobs. Many that wanted answeers left due to the heat and cramped conditions. Some Congressional office? A broom closet in City Hall with no AC. Rent a real office-plenty of vacant space in "revitalized" Downtown-lol!

Even the MSM is complaining about the heat and lack of dialogue. Only Paul Tonko could get away with this dog and pony show. He will not have another liberal to run against next year.

The whole thing is a dog and pony show....the bones are already set in place and they were put together by both parties....only
the Dems carry this end of the conversation......

I called his office this afternoon.  They told me that this wasn't a town hall, but more of an open house.  OK.  So, I asked when and if he would be holding another public forum / town hall.  They said that he is going to have a teleconference next Monday at 5:30.  Interesting how prepared they are.  They don't even know the phone number that you're supposed to call in to listen / participate yet.  You would think that would be immediately available.

SCHENECTADY
Office opening turns to impromptu debate

BY KATHLEEN MOORE Gazette Reporter

More than two dozen residents greeted Congressman Paul Tonko with pointed questions about health care Monday when he opened his new office at City Hall.
The crowd appeared split, with slightly more than half in favor of a public health care plan and the rest vehemently opposed to it.
Tonko, D-Amsterdam, had planned to simply hold an open house Monday, but he turned it into an hour-long debate over health care instead, taking questions from the crowd and often debating with them one-on-one.
He opened the discussion by making it clear where he stood on the legislation that would create a government health care plan.
“I am strongly in favor,” he said.
About 10 of the residents in the room reacted angrily, shouting out that the plan would be too expensive, had been designed too quickly and would inevitably lead to dangerous rationing that.....................>>>>...........................>>>>..............................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....1&Continuation=1

When one of biggest job in Schenectady is found at the DSS building in the form of welfare, where everyone there thinks everything is free, it's no wonder they want government provided health-care they're not going to be paying for it.

Farmer Paul Tonko IS STRONGLY IN FAVOR OF OBAMACARE, with rationing, end of life counseling and taxpayer funded abortions!

Paul Tonko supports neo-Marxist health care. Has he read the bill? The CONS need to get organized and run a fiscal CONS who understands business/agriculture to run against him in 2010.

I wonder why this wasn't in the gazette? Or perhaps it was, but I missed it.

Thank You BT for exposing this fraud neo-Town Hall. The sheeple were informed {by this site only} and showed up in force. People were angry about Tonko's support for both CAP & TAX and OBAMACARE.

Tonko is great at disinformation and not answering anything. He is in deep do-do like all Obama puppets in 2010. We must start organizing now against this neo-Marxist. Next Tonko wants a phone Town Hall! Anything but a big open real Town Hall in the evening when taxpayers can attend.

Tonko thinks that the Obamacare is a "good start." As soon as they get a bite they will want to glom down the entire sandwich. Give the government an inch, they need a mile, or they can't get the job done to their satisfaction. There WILL BE NO PRIVATE SECTOR IN 20 YEARS, mark my words. They will control everything.

I agree....except....I see the political landscape changing. Since the reps, cons and dems have apparently failed it's people miserably, there are independent groups popping up all over the nation. I believe that this will be the end of the old and the beginning of the new. It won't happen overnight....but it will happen.

As far as tonko goes, he doesn't have the b*lls to meet his constituants! TELEPHONE? What a freaking joke!

He's meeting the people TONIGHT-8/12! This is not a Town Hall {of course}but another dog and pony show in Albany-it was announced at 7pm and started at 6pm. We're in the only Congressional District ouside NYC and Berkeley where the chicken Congressman refuses to hold an open forum.

This phony Farmer Tonko must be removed next November. He is 100% for Obama's neo-Marxist policies.

Check out my blog for my most recent contact with Paul Tonko's office.  He was having a meeting today (announced on the Times Union website), so I called his office.

Well I guess you had icicles hanging off of you when you got off the phone, huh? That was clearly one 'cool' reception. I guess since tonko is denying his constituents free speech by conducting a town hall meeting, and is hiding behind a phone and is making it almost impossible to meet with him.....there is nothing left to do except spend .42 for a stamp and flood his office with snail mail. LET'S DO IT!

Actually, how many people would be open to going to a town hall meeting if we invited Mr. Tonko to Rotterdam?  I'm thinking about requesting his presence for one.
