SCHENECTADY COUNTY — National Grid crews are walking along an off-road transmission line in search of the problem that left 12,000 homes dark early today. The power outage began at 2 a.m. with problems on a major transmission line that feeds several distribution lines in Schenectady and Rotterdam, National Grid spokesman Patrick Stella said. Crews patched together a temporary fix and restored power at 6 a.m., then began searching for the cause of the problem. At 9 a.m., another problem appeared on that line, and 4,000 customers’ lights went out, Stella said.................>>>>.....................>>>>...........

our town has more wires on those poles than third world nation
if they clean up upgraded and consolidated once in a while
maybe i f the utilities put the stuff underground where it belongs in service tunnels
there would be less interruption for that "delivery charge we pay"
the sign is inside a fountain

i wanted a local law saying it is to be at the utilities expense they cannot raise rates(delivery or energy) more than 1% per year and they must supply service(delivery or energy) until the end of time
Ha wishful thinking. The utility companies cry poor while raising our utility bills the size of a monthly car payment. There is another company that needs to be looked into for their constant rate increases.

Rant by the.pope follows
in my perfect world i dont want us to pay a dime we have been abused by their awful service for decades and add in time warner also
on telecommunications i do not understand why in 2009 all the residents of this town do not have a choice of 2-3 providers for every household
verizon, time warner and electric grid should have service to every household in this town
and for Brad the same goes in your town and princetown (this is not a dig but a stand with you on this subject)
there is a franchise agreement at both the town and county level for time warner, some of the words in the agreement go back to capital cable vision
stand up to the big three
e.g. over 30 years electric grid will collect $18,000 per household in delivery charges
eg over 30 years on the $99 time warner bundle will collect $35,640 per household
get these companies off their rounded portions of the anatomy located on the posterior of the pelvic region and clean up their mess, install some fibre, add some solar panels to run the towns meter backward(street light)
