Well I never imagined Frank as Jefferson Smith, because Jeff Smith filibusters the Senate after being accused of a crooked deal. That means he gets up and speaks for those of you are ain't silver tongued sycophants... Furthermore, if Frank IS Jeff Smith, who plays Senator Paine and Boss Taylor? Does Ms. DiLeva remind anyone of Jean Arthur?
Obviously the man never saw the flick...Frank Capra is one of my favorite directors, even though me is just a poor dirt farmer mahself.
interesting......now where did my backhoe go????? |

http://www.frankdelgallo.com/DelGallo_Platform.pdfThat's considered reform? I have some questions. Replace the Attorney with who? Replace the Assessor with whom? Replace IDA leadership with who? What police commission? I thought it was disbanded over a year ago. I would call this reforming the town to the days of old, the days where crooked politicians, cops, and developers fleeced Rotterdam residents in decades past. Vote Row F. We've seen the two major parties fail us on the National, State, and Local levels. Like they say, all politics are local. This is where real change begins. Sending a message on this level will send a shock wave all the way to the top. The people are watching. |

Especially when the favored individuals are from the old guard of Rotterdam’s past. Even though Jimmy Constantino isn't running, those same people who he surrounded himself with are surrounding Mr. DelGallo. SCARY! |

Where's Sal's phony outrage for Nicky DiLeva's horrid sauce recipe? My momma bless her heart makes much better sauce. O'Connors Irish soda bread is delicious. Heard that they are making DiLeva's sauce in the bunker. With the 3 meat meatballs. Nobody wants more Surprises from Severino. What were the results from the REP Virginia poll? lol- |

That is just a mailer that went out a while back and some people had the same questions then. With only a week left before the election, it would be a little too late to create a platform now. Like the song says..... 'it's just a little to late to do the right thing now'? The way I see it, the dems, reps and cons have not made the grade. We have always been stuck with voting for one of two options. The lesser of two evils. And we complained....'isn't there another choice'. Well now there is one. ROW F. The NNTP. If people do not want to go back to the corrupt 'good old days' and don't want to continue with the status quo.....Then step up to the plate and vote ROW F for the NNTP. That's my opinion and the way I see it....We finally have another choice! |

http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01101&AppName=1DEL GALLO Del Gallo, 70, readily admits he doesn’t have the educational background his opponents offer. But he said his savvy as a self-made businessman — savvy that made him a millionaire — could help make town departments more efficient. “I want to run it just like I run my businesses,” he said. Del Gallo also said he could spend a lot of time in Town Hall. He said the seasonal nature of his businesses will allow him to spend a good deal of time hearing the concerns of residents. He declined to make specific campaign promises. He said it would be impossible to determine how to fix the town’s problems without seeing them first-hand. “Sitting here, I can promise the world, but I have to get there to do it,” he said. And if he is elected, Del Gallo said, lowering taxes will be one of his first priorities. He said his goal in office will be to make the town a better place to live for residents. |

These were printed on the on-line version of the Gazette today and was emailed to us for posting:
Dirty politics won't sway voters
Re Oct. 22 editorial: “Ugly politics as usual in Rotterdam”: I am not anti-education. My son’s Siena College education has been beneficial for him in the field he has pursued. I am proud of his accomplishments. However, I am also pro-entrepreneurship. That is where Frank Del Gallo has excelled. By taking the risks involved in starting and successfully maintaining his own business, he used his God-given talents and initiative to do so. Questioning Frank’s literacy is an elitist attempt to overshadow his qualifications to become Rotterdam’s supervisor. I am surprised that well-educated members of the opposition party would take this stance in middle-class, blue-collar Rotterdam Stop the mudslinging and stick to the issues. Personal attacks are not welcome here. William C. Humphrey Rotterdam
Del Gallo can't be worse than what Rotterdam has now
The latest Republic deception: Frank Del Gallo tried to lower his taxes by 75 percent. They don't tell you if he did it legally on Grievance Day. He also wants to hire his own assessor. Why shouldn't he have the same privilege that [Supervisor Steve] Tommasone did? After hiring Craig Surprise as assessor, the Republicans raised the taxes so high; who can blame Frank for trying to lower his? You can bet Frank Del Gallo create a police commission in order to circumvent the hiring process in the police department. Nor will he try to fire a longtime employee [Eunice Esposito] just because she is of a different political party. People of Rotterdam, wake up. Cleanse the town of this self-serving administration. Al Kuhn Sr. Rotterdam
Despite his lack of education, Del Gallo has proven to be fiscally responsible
Many Rotterdam residents are appalled by the dirt being thrown by the Republican chairman and those running for re-election in our town. Politics have never been looked upon as anything but unfair, but the recent assault on Frank Del Gallo, the Democratic candidate for town supervisor, has reached a low mark. It is my understanding that Mr. Del Gallo left school to help support his family as his father died at an early age. He surely wasn't alone in doing this, as many had to sacrifice their own education for similar reasons. This being said, I can’t help but look at the results of Mr. Del Gallo’s life! A successfully married father and businessman, he has helped many charitable causes over the years and never asked for recognition! One has only to drive by Del Gallo Pools to see a flourishing business even in the face of a bad economy. This is in sharp contrast to what has been happening with our town over the course of the past several ears. Perhaps our present supervisor has a resume filled with education. Perhaps Gerard Parisi, the Republican chairman who publicly called Mr. Del Gallo “uniquely unqualified,” has a formal education. Together they both lack the morals to run an election based on who can do a better job for the taxpayers. If Frank Del Gallo can do for Rotterdam what he has done for his business, the residents of our town will be better served. One thing that is evident is that his morals are far ahead of his challenger, as he has not stooped to the same level even while being slandered! Rob Ogilvie Rotterdam

Ok ~ want an update on the polls? Remember ~ polls don't vote ~ but ~ chew on this ~
Tommasone at 33.5% McGarry at 30.5% DelGallo at 27% undecided or refused to answer at 9.0%
Tommasone pulling out front ~ live poll (not auto-phone poll) ~ as of this morning DelGallo has dropped quite a bit. |

I don't know how valid any of these are, honestly. This is still a two way race between Frank and Steve. No offense, but that is my prediction from the real citizens I have been speaking to. |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |

I'm not much for polls either. My prediction: 3 -way coin toss across the board. I think every race will be "close". |
