Half the problems that the town has right now were created by previous administrations by not havng a comp plan and allowing developers to build developments on swamps without holding them liable for the many problems that this caused, this present administration has it's own set of problems as well.

Sparky is as far from being a supervisor as the east is from the west and I don't care how much money he has! I guess that ridiculousstatement that originated from good old sal, over there, means that the seat can be 'bought'! Now isn't that patriotic? I'm sure he'd be on my list of candidates....not!

Bumble ~ Fran isn't concerned with running the town, he wants Steve out!  He will be just as pleased to play the spoiler ~ don't think so?  Ask Mertz, you seem to know him pretty well, maybe you can get ahold of his cell phone and view his recent calls.  Fran will spend a lot of money, and take a serious chunk of voters from Steve, GOP can't even come close to what I am sure he has already committed.

I actually expected a little more out of you, considering eveyone has you pegged to be Mertz.

Going back to our earlier conversation on another thread, I have a feeling Mertz is going to be pissing off a lot of people this fall.

OMG...AGAIN....I'm NOT John Mertz! REALLY!
However, and call me old fashion, I don't agree with people running for ANY office just for the main purpose to get another out! I believe that the electorate should have the best candidates before them to select from. And I'm sorry but sparky ain't one of them. How pathetic it would be if sparky actually won? If that's the best that the dems and cons can do.....that is just sad!!!!
Why couldn't they have endorsed McGarry(R) who was not endorsed by the reps and thrown their weight and money to him? Makes sense to me! IMHO

Brian McGarry is an enrolled member of the Conservative party.  He is not an enrolled Republican.  To my understanding, he did not interview with the Republican party.  In my discussions with him, I have found him to possess traditional conservative values on fiscal and social issues.  Though I have not heard of Mr. DelGallo's platform, McGarry is the right choice for town conservatives.  Like myself, he is running as an independent voice without the backing of any party.   He would have my vote for Town Supervisor if I was a resident of Rotterdam.

Felipe,

If your assessment is valid, that Mr. DelGallo doesn't want to "run the town", what will he do if he is elected?
Will he serve?

If he is looking to play the role of spoiler, the beneficiary would be Brian McGarry as he is the only
announced candidate, other than Tommasone, to my knowledge.  Are you suggesting that DelGallo may support McGarry's campaign?

Then they should be pushing their weight and money to McGarry who is AT LEAST a viable candidate! To endorse or promote someone who isn't even interested in taking the seat is just nuts!!!

thats right people. some people I know who are in the know say that this election will be more important then ever since if Stevie wins and the outlaw party stays in then the county will need to take control over the town by having the state come in and declare the town ship desolved because of the illegal things going on including the assessments that are causing the outrage. this will happen in january and it will last until their can be a fair election that with no more unfair asseements being used to hurt the voters and intimidate them. THEN ROTTERDAM BECOMES FREE AGAIN PEOPLE
