What really makes the ‘angry ones’ angry

    I’d like to say I read with interest Mr. Strock’s May 28 rant about the rightwing conservatives who lack empathy, but I don’t like to lie. Rather, I read it with disgust and frustration. As much as Carl Strock likes to berate the “angry ... ones” for not quite getting “it,” he’s the one who doesn’t have a clue.
    Mr. Strock writes column after column bashing the very people who make this country run. He attacks the police, the teachers, state employees, DSS caseworkers, the court system, organized religion and other groups that make up the infrastructure of our nation. He also launches generalized attacks on conservatives and Republicans. Conversely, in his column he defends terrorists, child molesters and unfit parents. Way to take a stand, Carl.
    While I personally care very little about his opinions, I do care about the impact they have on the community. By labeling a large segment of society as the “angry ones,” Mr. Strock is the one who demonstrates a lack of compassion — particularly for the well-being of our nation. His need to condone the actions of people who unnecessarily drain the resources of our country is what fuels this “anger” in others.
    I believe people are angry because there is very little personal accountability in this country anymore. The preamble of the Constitution guarantees the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. While our birth on this soil gives us the first two, the last one — “pursuit of happiness“ — is just that, a pursuit. It does not come to us. We need to go out, work hard and get it. And, that doesn’t mean showing up at the local county office building with our hands out.
    Basically, the “angry ones” are [upset] because they are cleaning up the messes the “deluded ones” have made. I am sure Strock assumes (as he indicated in his column) that because I hold these views I am a gun-toting, hot-rodding, Bible-thumping, right-winger who quotes Rush Limbaugh almost as much as Scripture.
    While I respect a person’s right to have these constitutionally protected freedoms, that is not who I am. I am just a hard-working American who is trying to pull her own weight while supporting a family. However, when I see other able-bodied people refusing to do the same, but insisting that they have a “right” to the very things my family and I need but have to pay for, I do get angry.

Sorry lady - I don't feel the same way- i THINK  People are angry with themselves for making a series PERSONAL decisions in their lives involving their jobs/career and family that have placed themselves exactly where they are- under educated and lazy-

I may not agree with Mr. Strock or anyone else from time to time, but Mr. Strock nailed it with the police, teachers, stateworkers and DSS workers. And his arguements, in these cases are backed up with facts that are the results of these institutions. They bring it on themselves.

I think Mr.Strock's referral to 'the angry ones' actually is a poke at the organized systems......the angry ones are 'angry' because now they realize
the systems ARE NOT THE SAVIORS.....people are saviors......"....ye shall be like Gods and die like men..."......

the systems should ALWAYS BE POKED.....THAT IS WHY THIS IS AMERICA.......

one is a teacher because one is a teacher,,,,,in or out of the system.....if the system vomits you out(whether you are good or bad) and if you are
truly a teacher, you will continue to be a teacher.......why?....because it is in your soul,,,,and if you allow a system to 'own' your soul then you have
sold your soul........JMHO....

and that is accountability
