ROTTERDAM - State Police stopped an Erie County woman on the Thruway for a suspended license Tuesday, only to find more than $300,000 worth of heroin hidden in her car, troopers said.
Lisa H. Porter, 43, of Amherst, was stopped for speeding as she drove westbound. Troopers said she was driving with a suspended license and had marijuana. Police found 220 grams of heroin in a hidden compartment in the trunk after a more thorough search of her car.
Porter was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and the original vehicle and traffic charges. She was arraigned before Rotterdam Town Justice Kevin Mergoglan and taken to Schenectady County Jail.
I wonder if she got to make her pit stop in schenectady. (?)
