How did Macejaka not do his job??  The Gazette editorial points out that HE only had 3.5% of the total parcels file grievences after a fifty year lull.  C'mon Bumble I told you before you don't want to pay your fair share or didn't get a reduction for you or your family members but don't take it out on the guy who was DIRECTED to manage the reval by the elected officials!  By the way bumble I m curious to know what Macejaka did to piss you off?  I bet Schdy wish they had him on Tuesday. Another Stevie Ego blunder.

First, I'm not a statist or an entitlist. I will always pay my own way and my 'fair share'. Always!

And second I don't think I ever said that Macejka pissed me off, did I? I believe I stated that he didn't do his job and I, as others, were not sorry to see him go. Simple as that!  k?

And I believe this thread is about the city's assessment, not Rotterdam's.

This thread is about the process of which you and others stated lay at the feet of Assessor's

You obviously have an axe to grind and you need to work through your bitterness towards public officials who put in an honest days work.  Bumble you couldn't handle it, Tax cheat!!

Sorry to disappoint you but I clearly do not have an 'axe to grind. I only have opinions which I base on my experiences and belief system.

As far as bitterness towards public officials....I don't stoop that low. I may not agree with their ideology or their actions while in office, but 'bitterness' is an overstatement at best and I adjust myself accordingly.

I also put in 'more' than an honest days work for an honest days pay. I have to....I work in the private sector.

k?

It's ALWAYS the LEVY........the state mandates how that is to be done and based on what % assessments......

where does all that 'Levy $$' go to.......does it NEED to go to these places.......where is the value in the LEVY.....It is wise to have one's homestead
assessed to 100%....we want ALL THE VALUE....however....the value in our levys is lacking......

what happens when the levy breaks........I see a foot from that monkey on our backs......

If a guy flips pizza or sells trophies, or mixes cement, or drives a backhoe, AND PAYS TAXES - WHY is that not an honest day's work?

You are apparently very short sighted. Perhaps I work 3rd shift?? Perhaps my work requires me to change shifts weekly? Perhaps my days off are rotated?

And apparently you have an axe to grind with the reps. And perhaps it is justified but clearly shallow in thinking. I won't even begin to explain economics, capitalism and the free market to you. I don't think you could comprehend it all. Perhaps you clearly should go to college and take economics 101. If that has no appeal to you, than you are surely and sadly a one party socialist's dream come true.

The KRATS here really disappoint me. Expected to hear what a "great" job the City assessor {from Latham} has done.  Instead we get the usual class warfare mumbo jumbo-anyone who owns a business is evil. God forbid someone employs people and pays property taxes in this horrid County. Who do you think pays for your stuna plans and idiotic welfare schemes?

IT'S THE LEVY AND THE VALUE THERE OF.........

everyone should want their home/business to be 'worth'/assessed at the top......why would you hold onto brass when you can have gold........

THE LEVY IS WHAT KILLS US........ALL THE MANDATES AND SERVICES AND SPECIAL INTERESTS ETC ETC.........

anyone care to venture what GM's 'worth'/assessment will be/is.......I wonder what their levy is......

It's the LEVY.....ANYONE FOR A TEA PARTY.........A GIANT TEA PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget that J.Craig Surprise, Surprise Surprise, is from Renns County.  Then again when you have the Supervisor and the Council members dictating assessment reductions for friends and family it don't matter where you live.  Oh its gonna be fun when the fliers start comin on who got reductions.  A who is who list of Republican Fat cats and relatives.  Check out the assessment on Stevie Ego's bro's house down on Shardon.  Another Stevie Ego blunder!!!!
